I’m like the one person in the world who doesn’t lust after George Clooney (he’s so cocky!), but I have to admit this photo is SMOKIN’. Still, he could be Gemma Ward’s dad.
Has never been my type …but at least I used to think he was a decent person. His acting like a big baby recently during the entertainment unions strikes (I am in LA) opened my eyes….and sickened my stomach. Cocky is not the word for it. He has an advanced sense of entitlement. The rest is just an act folks. George is out for George.
He does look like her grandpa in this shot…ewww.
he’s no fave of mine either, i’d take a gabriel byrne over him any old (get it??) day. that having been said, however, if he happened to offer me a lake como weekend getaway, like they do in real life, i’d be hard-pressed to find a reason to say no.
nope, never lusted after him either …and actually, I think she looks far more fetching than he in this photo…but I love the colors and contrast.
here’s a lil something that may change your impression of clooney:

yes, he does seem cocky…i never thought of that until now…he acts like he owns the entertainment industry.
cute photo though.

I just love this man!!
me neither. i’m more of a robert downey jr. kinda girl :P
i like the rugged and slightly awkward look.
though i do agree…that photo is quite hot. though i’d like to see more older women younger men photos.
THANK you! not a fan of the cocky.

i agree. he’s very handsome but without sex appeal. i don’t know…maybe it’s his connection to The Facts of Life and The Golden Girls that just ruins it for me ; )
I agree, I don’t lust after him either. This may have something to do with the fact that he reminds me of my dad :)
I like cocky in a man. Yes I lust after the George. But then again Brad Pitts leaves me cold. I hear neither of them want me, though, so it’s a moot point, alas.
You are not the only one. He’s never been my type:)
Well, you are not the only one!
If someone looks like he’s been posing in front of the mirror to get his moves down, my guess is, he probably has.
I also thought I was the only gal around not lusting after George! Love this picture though…
yeah…her hot dad…
I thought I was the one person in the world that doesn’t lust over Clooney :) Gemma does look gorgeous though, so very classy in that photo.
Gemma Ward looks immaculate. George looks like her dad- i agree! its like she’s asking if she could PLEASE PUH LEEZE borrow the car to the mall tonite!
gorgeous photo!
I don’t think he’s cocky at all. I think he was working for a long time before he experienced success and that he’s appreciative of what’s happened and the opportunities that have been presented.
I agree! It seems like he gets even more handsome with age. Thank you for your kind comment on my blog the other day :-)
Oh, I love him. He’s so smart, so on it politically, environmentally, socially. And GOD, so handsome. I actually don’t think he’s cocky at all, just incredibly sarcastic and dry. Which makes me love him more. And honestly, who could say no to summers at Lake Como??
She is a stunner too. *sigh*
yeah!
well he is a handsome devil- but is it my screen or is his arm blue?- perhaps his circulation isn’t so great I hear that happens as you get older………
I’m SO with you & Heather!!
You’re not the 1 girl not lusting after him-me too. Great photo though.

They did a photoshoot together for a Vanity Fair issue around a year and a half ago now so I assume this is where the image comes from. It was a stunning shoot, very 20s and 30s oriented and just beautiful. Seeing it again on your blog brings back very fond, magazine flicking memories indeed!
i think george looks great in the photo, but i agree with joanna about him on the whole. he just doesn’t do much for me.
I agree Melisa, I love him. Sooo handsome.
Oh he looks great in the photo. You think he’s cocky? I think he thinks it’s so silly how much attention he gets and just plays it all up. There was an interview in Time with him and I was throughly impressed about how real and down to earth he seemed.
Great photo. He looks very Cary Grant-like here.
What shall we do this weekend whilst it snows? By the lovely Grace Farris.
