Whose shoes are whose? By the wonderful Grace Farris.
P.S. Spring weekends, and mom of tweens.
I definitely bought the matching Puffy coat from Primary for my son, my dog, and me. We’re still trying to convince my husband to join the rainbow stripe club!
My 17 yr old daughter wants us to get matching tiny tattoos when she turns 18. I was surprised when she brought it up but I’m in!
This is too cute! My 13 yr old son and I have the same shoe size (fun fact: men’s and women’s size 11 is the same size). But it’s me borrowing his slides from time to time to his annoyance lol. I’ve noticed my 5yr old daughter now waits to see what I wear and finds something in her closet that’s similar. Maybe we’ll find a mommy/daughter outfit to twin!
I love matching. I’m wondering how long I have to wait to buy me and my new boyfriend matching undies. 🤣
Hubs and I are both in our seventies. Hang in; it WILL happen. Cheers, until then!
Twin crying jags. I feel so seen. Entering menopause at the same time my child enters puberty….😭
Tween/teen: STOP STEALING ALL OF MY SOCKS!!! (I swear, my kids have taken over all of my socks — sock drawer is empty…)
I’m 31 years old; my dad and I are both very petite, so when I go visit I can use an extra pair of his slippers! <3
We wear matching outfits for Eid.My son and husband wear matching shoes, and I wear matching abayas or dresses with my daughter. I’m riding this as long as I can.
I did not mean shoes lmao, autocorrect. I meant thobes.
I love how fleeting the same-shoe-size phase can be. My 11-year-old son is about a half size smaller than me so it is happening right now…
My mum and I always turn up in striped tops – and actually my dad does too! And now I dress my baby in a lot of stripes… so I guess it’s a family thing!
My mom used to point out that you could tell whose kids belonged to whom in a busy place because they would match the mom’s
style — for us it was always blue and white stripes!
Matching Crocs with my teen daughter and now that she’s attending my alma mater, matching college tees :)
What are “jags” in “twin crying jags”? I’m an old, apparently.
(also, this is so cute and true, nailed it again Grace!)
A crying jag! It’s actually a more archaic term. You are very young. And you are very great.
Protagonists in L.M. Montgomery have crying jags. It’s like, a window of sobbing-level crying that isn’t over until it’s over. You can’t jolly or distract your way out of it. Similar to a laughing jag (much less common usage), where you laugh uncontrollably for an extended period, and anything and everything can start you laughing again.
A “jag” is a spree or a binge, a period of perhaps overly indulgent participation in an activity or feeling. So one might have a buying jag, or a crying jag.
Like, spontaneous outbursts of tears at the same time (synced up hormones)
bahahah. i read it as a ‘crying jagoff’ which is also fine.
Thanks Ana D Jules, you learn something new every day!
Love this. Adding Adult: Matching jackets and coats! My mom’s a repeat offender when it comes to jacket lust haha coats are expensive and an endorsement means everything!
Spot on!
Yup, my daughter turns 13 today and we have the same shoe size and shoes!
and even more so when you’re 50 and she is 80 and it turns out you’re twins in all you do….
Alex, this made my heart smile. truly even more so as we get older. my mom (68) and I (36) are twins in all we do too :))) and she and her dear mom (who passed just one year ago but would have been 96) were also twins. such a beautiful delight. and when my mom and grandma were 50ish/80ish it was a precious twinning time too. thank you for the smile.
ps – this is my first coj comment! I indeed felt compelled to thank you for the joy.
At our house, it’s “Whose navy blue t-shirts are whose?”
Navy blue is the default color for everything at my house, and now that I have a teenage boy who is roughly my size, it’s starting to get confusing when we fold the laundry.
Mabels labels to the rescue! They are awesome.
For me, being the mom of a baby is actually matching spit up stains!
Hahaha same
So stinking cute, Grace! I’m looking forward to the matching shoes!
