As much as I hate to admit, the quality of reformation is no good. I have a few dresses, and every time I feel like maybe it’s just me and I got the wrong one before, so I think I’ll get another and the quality will be better. But nope, it’s just not that good tbh

I see size-inclusive photos here, but whenever I go to their website (I know everyone raves about it) I get nauseated at the sea of extremely thin, tall bodies telling me over and over that I don’t belong here.

As someone “extremely tall and thin” I really struggle shopping offline- tall section only exists online and even then they rarely have smaller sizes and the fits are weird. So yeah, the pictures may look good online but none of it is true in real life. Let’s try to stay positive and not judge ANY body type. We all have our problems to deal with.

But so many of their dresses are essentially sheer and don’t have liners. Not what I expect at that price point.

I would love to hear from someone who owns some Reformation dresses about how they fit. I’m two different sizes on top and bottom, so things that are fitted typically aren’t for me (sizing up to fit my hips usually means I’m swimming in the top.) Also can’t envision sitting comfortably in these dresses, or even just accommodating some after-dinner bloat…do they have any stretch? They’re really so beautiful and feminine that I’d love to try, but at that price point it’s definitely an investment for me, especially if I’d have to get it altered. :)

I own several of their formal dresses. They do not stretch. I’m usually a size 8 (larger hips than shoulders) but ordered a formal dress a while back that ran big, 6 would have probably sufficed. The formal dresses are very very long, I always have to get them altered, even if I wear high heels. Nevertheless, they are amazing and I still love wearing them. Make sure to look at the fabric as well as the cut, depending on which you will have some room for digestion.

I finally splurged on one of their sun dresses this summer and wore it constantly! I like that their silhouettes are simple enough to be easily dressed up or down. The dresses and tops with smocking in the back (like the Nikita Dress) definitely stretch after eating. I’m much smaller on top than bottom so got my dress in the larger of my two sizes and it was very comfortable.

I love Reformation but their sizing is a bit odd. I have to try everything on before I commit to anything final sale :( I wish I could just bite the bullet.

I’m a 38G and wore the Reformation Winslow dress as my wedding dress. It’s the only Reformation dress I’ve ever tried, though. I sized up and had it altered, but overall, it fit beautifully (I’m 5’8 & a size 14). Like you, I stay away from anything backless or with thin straps. Not sure how much this will help you since it’s my only experience with the brand, but wanted to pass on :)

Ooh thanks for sharing this. I love Ref but always feel like their prices a kiss too high for what it is (though quality and style are great!). Grabbing an item that was my on “gifts to myself” list :)

Can anyone with a larger chest weigh on on whether Reformation is wearable for them? I’m a 30G (on an otherwise petite 5″2″ frame) and have shied away from the brand because of the low cuts, thin straps, and backless designs. I also typically avoid the stretchier, babydoll nap dress type of style as it feels like more boob than I want to show off. I’m curious about their jeans as those can always be hemmed if need be, but wondering if dresses/shirts are doable!

5’1 and 32 DD here! Reformation is one of the only brands I can wear without a bra. Look for dresses where the top is slightly structured/tight. I usually have the most luck with dresses that have thick straps or long sleeves.

30g small person here, yes the dresses often work really well, somehow there is room, but you definitely have to try on the different styles before buying (and obviously the ones with defined boob cups– not what it’s really called but not sure how else to describe it– do NOT work)

The necklines of the red velvet dress and the white long-sleeved tee are so alluring. There’s something very romantic and “Wherefore art thou Romeo?” about them.
