Ha! Whenever need to zone out from reality, I look at real estate in places I can only dream of living (mostly on the beach in CA). It’s so fun!
Hi there! I was wondering how Kim is doing? I haven’t seen her name on a post in a little while and I miss her lovely writing. I hope she’s safe and hanging in there with everything going on! Thank you to the rest of the CoJ team for your lovely posts during this time.
Oh yes! She’s the best. She has a couple posts coming up next week!
Thank you for not posting the typical: have a big glass of wine at 3:00. As someone who does not struggle with addiction, but has several friends and family members who do, this has been a really anxious time for me. Will my friend start drinking again because of this? Will my dad die not of the virus but from alcohol withdrawal? I appreciate this post so much.
I’m with you! My husband is currently sober (!) but an alcoholic and there’s so much out there right now about drinking to cope -much of it humorous – but it is a heavy issue for some of us.
Same – me, glass of wine and all the original Joy of Cooking.
The recipes one is too real!
Lol! Love grace farris!
I’ve been cooking up a storm! My husband and I love cooking anyway but since he’s now WFH and I’m not working at the moment I’ve happily taken over most of the cooking duties and I’ve really enjoyed branching out and getting more creative in the kitchen with pantry ingredients especially.
I’ve been blogging a lot also, which has been very therapeutic and a bit of a surprise, since I expected to be creatively fallow in part due to being so lethargic a few days a week over the last month of self-isolation.
ha, I love this! Especially the celeb feuds!
I love Grace Farris and she is, like, on the front lines right now. From following her on social media, I know that she has sent her kids to be with their grandparents while she is in the trenches every day as a doctor in NYC. She manages to still draw and post and maintain an amazing positive aura through it all. I am so in awe of her AND I would love if CoJ would do a follow up interview with her after this is all over! I cannot imagine what her experience must be like, but I am so thankful for people like her in the world today.
Agree. Grace, thank you. Sending you and your lovely family ?❤️.
In order to grow our small business, Cup of Jo earns revenue in a few different ways. We publish several sponsored posts each month, which are always labeled at the top. We also sometimes earn an affiliate commission on the sales of products we link to. We feature only items we genuinely love and want to share, and this is an arrangement between the retailer and Cup of Jo (readers never pay more for products). These are the ways we support Cup of Jo, and allow us to run the site and engage with this community we truly love. Thank you for reading!
