I really love that you added the image of the Astronaut. When I was a kid I really didn’t like “kid things”- images or toys that seemed dumbed down to my age group (Lisa Frank aside obviously). My brother (20 years older than me) got me a subscription to National Geographic when I was 8 and it was pretty much the best present I’d ever gotten even though I didn’t read the articles. Haha. But it’s a nice reminder to ask what the child likes. Give them wildly different options :)

I found a brilliant illustrator (Kerry Dunning Illustrations) who sells animal prints ideal for kids bedrooms! Her impala, bear and squirrel are my faves!

I like the animals poster and the school bus poster. The schoolbus poster would be fun in a classroom.
I read that “grow slowly” poster as “growly salt,” so I CLEARLY woke up too early this morning.
I have been trying to support local artists and have gotten some great things for my kids’ rooms at the farmers market that also highlights artists. These local artists are great, their work was not expensive, and it was very fun for my boys to get to meet the artists and talk to them about the work.
I know this post says “kids art,” but there is not one piece here that I wouldn’t hang in my apartment (where no kids live). :)
I got two little pictures of little she-bears, I bought them on a market in Italy and you are right, they’re so calming!

I love to be sure artwork and family photos (all chosen by my daughter) are hung at her height. As she’s got older they’ve stacked up, starting at floor level and now at her 3 foot (ish) eyeline. It makes the space very much hers, and is also a lovely visual reminder of how she changes as she grows

My favorite picture in our boys sleeping room (beside their own abstract artwork) is this illustration next to their bed. So peaceful.

I’ve seen their stuff displayed at local farmer’s markets, art fairs, etc. here in Providence, RI. It looks even better in person than online.
Kids schmids….that smiling pear would look great in my kitchen, and that Oliver Jeffers animal print is delightful and I would hang it in my house just because it makes me smile.
We took pictures from Scuppers the Sailor Dog, blew them up (with some editing—Little Golden Books aren’t the highest resolution) and framed them…they ended up being one of my favorite things in our house!
The kisses print is wonderful.
In regards to the link on prints from children’s literature… I decorated my son’s nursery with these. Instead of $200 pieces, though, I went to Halfprice Books, bought our favorite ones, cut out our favorite scenes, and framed them with cheap frames from Michael’s. $50 for 5 and they look so lovely.
I am sure that those prints are of much higher quality and can be worth it to the right buyer, but I love books and have limited income for decor. Ta-da! A quick little crafty fix.

We hung up NASA’s free space and Mars posters on our LO’s walls. Oh, and a planet mobile from Crate and Barrel.
I hung a map in my son’s nursery and framed my daughter’s art for her room!
