My daughter looks exactly like my sister, too! It’s so hilarious as she doesn’t have kids and I’m the one who grew her in my belly. Happy weekend!

Unrelated to the above but I was hoping to make a request for a topic of discussion, which is especially poignant today. I am wondering about the best way to deal with sexism in the workplace. My boss is an old school man who has made it clear in his interactions with his team that he believes men are better adept at coming up with ideas and working in general. I have some of the highest metrics on the team, have done some of the more complex projects and have recently won an industry award for my work within our industry designation program. Other women on the team are behind a lot of the positive changes and training implemented for our new department, and have contributed significantly to the success of our team. And yet, whenever we have team meetings, we are hushed, talked over and blatantly ignored. Our accomplishments go completely unrecognized, meanwhile if a male on the team so much as saves $1 for the company, they are praised excessively. Our ideas are stolen and implemented by him. And if a male team member basically rephrases a suggestion or comment one of us ladies makes just seconds before, suddenly it’s the greatest idea and they are given the reigns on it. My friend has gone to HR about this, but there isn’t much they can do without proof and it will make things incredibly awkward. I have also broached the subject of him hushing me in meetings and nothing has changed. How can we make our voices heard and contributions recognized without rocking the boat or getting ourselves fired?

HA- that working from home piece! Totally nailed it (although I am proud to say that I DID workout this morning… but I also will admit that I ate a large amount of ham for lunch today- weirdly wrapped in lettuce leaves). The New Yorker knows me well!

There is a resort in the Keys where you are forced to “unplug”. One can earn screen time credits based off the number of hours you left your phone locked in their safe. Sounds like a wonderful place to me!

The ACLU online store has a surprising variety of cute things too! I just donated to them the other day and happened to scope it out. My fave is the dog tee that says Civil Liberties Watch Dog :)

I think I’m actually going to watch the Super Bowl. I recently watched the Amazon TV show All of Nothing, and I found it really interesting and it sparked my interest!! I highly recommend it even if you don’t like football!! And then I have to prep for New York Fashion Week!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! xx
