I am hopelessly uncrafty. My boys have a box of crayons and will casually doodle sometimes, but we don’t really do art projects at home. (I wouldn’t know where to begin.) So when Seedling asked if we wanted to try one of their activity kits, we jumped at the chance…
They have tons of awesome kits—like superhero capes, tutus and birdhouses—and in the end, we chose to build a kite. We painted it (with glitter paint) and put the structure together.
Ta da!
We took the kite to Brooklyn Bridge Park in Dumbo to give it a spin.
Although it wasn’t windy enough to fly too high, the boys got creative with the kite—Toby pretended he was walking a dog…
…then pulled it behind his scooter.
And Anton was happy to just bounce around with it.
It was such a fun afternoon, and I am completely inspired to try more of these arts and crafts with the boys.
Today, Seedling is giving away a $500 gift card. You can get activity kits (like this cool paint-your-own recorder or these break-your-own geodes), or great simple toys. This whoopie cushion might be Toby’s favorite gift of all time.
