Have you been watching the Olympics? These photos show the crazy emotion of the games. I can’t imagine how nervous the athletes must be the moment before their competition starts. See more here.
Nice photos.
This is really an interesting topic, I’m very lucky on your blog, I’ll add this web bookmarks, I’ll subscribe to your blog, and I hope to be able to come around again.

I really enjoy reading through on this site, it has great posts. “Beware lest in your anxiety to avoid war you obtain a master.” by Demosthenes.
Great photos! Check out my review of when I got to catch a basketball game at the Olympics: http://lalakamasimba.blogspot.co.uk/ Go Team GB!
I’m an Aussie that lives in London
So for me the rivalry between us and the Brits is pretty strong.
But I’ve been watching pretty much everything in the olympics (I love sport dream of working for Swimming Australia or Swim USA).
These photos sum it up brilliantly.
Beautiful selection.
Thank you for sharing.
It’s like seeing the range of what it means to be a human, isn’t it?
These are amazing! Thank you!
Amazing photos. Intense games
Love the side of olympics you show here
amazing photos – I’m fascinated by these athletes – what gene pool did they come from???
I have been watching so much Olympic action (I’m a teacher) that I really need to leave the house soon! I went to the weightlifting on Sun which was awesome (especially when they played Spandau Ballet’s ‘Gold’ after the medal ceremony) and I’ve got a few other things scheduled including taking school kids to Basketball on Fri evening. We get to see Team GB (yay) in one game and USA in another. The vibe in London is really cool and it’s very exciting to meet fans from all over the world.
Wasn’t the opening ceremony amazing?
I am hoping to visit the Olympics sites on saturday, it looks amazing, i hope weather is nice so we can have a picnic, but you never know with our british weather…
Beautiful, hope to take some pictures like these when I’m going next week to the Olympics!

Waaah. I did not mean that comment to sound dirty by the way!!!
Good God Michael Phelps.
Those hands! Imagine being his lady friend! Swoon.
Joanna! I clicked the link to more photos, and found one from the opening ceremony (the one of Paul McCartney) that was taken by my dad! He’s a photographer for the Associated Press and is in London now shooting tennis. I just thought that was so cool!

Wow, these are amazing photos! I love how emotions or moments can be captured in photographs so easily. Thanks for sharing! x

Thank you so much for sharing these pictures. Amazing. One of my good friends, Courtney, is on the women’s Olympic water polo team. She dominated yesterday against Hungary. She has been so dedicated in her training over the past couple of years. It is amazing to see her enjoy this experience. How nice for the individuals of our hostile world to join together for some friendly competition? The Olympics truly are a special time for everyone.
Thanks for sharing those awesome photos. We can’t get enough of the games, the joy and the heartbreak.
I am glued to the tv, I literally can’t get enough olympics this year. So exciting!
These pictures are amazing. I found some amazing photos of Olympics kisses today. I love getting an inside look at the althletes and their emotions.
Check them out on The Huffington Post or my blog if you’re interested :)

My honey is a professional photographer who started out in sports. He has shot FIVE games and says that it is far more moving than we can imagine!
These are great photos…they really do capture the emotional side of these competitions.
it’s so intense. i get totally into it too. i was freaking out during the mens 400 relay. felt totally crushed for jordan in womens gymnastics. great pictures.
Awesome photos! A gal from my town just won the U.S. Bronze for Judo! Fun to have a hometown hero to celebrate:)
Great captures except, WHERE ARE THE EQUESTRIAN moments?!??? Wow… disappointing they didn’t share any of those great moments.
Great shots! I try to watch at night and try not to get spoiled before I get to watch.
Definitely watching. It was sad to see the American men miss the mark in gymnastics last night, but also great to see Britain get a medal! Princess Harry and William were so cute to watch in the audience. Can’t wait to see the women’s teams compete tonight.
I’m exhausted just watching. Their hard work and dedication is truly something to marvel at.
Hi Joanna!! I have been reading your blog for years and getting so much inspiration in my life that I finally decided to blog as well! I love your writing and your opinions about things! Always passing by! love, J
brilliant photos. gymnastics start any moment now-woop woop!
Stunning photos!
My friend took some beautiful pictures pre-Olympics.

These pictures really do capture it well. I’m watching the women’s gymnastic final right now, eeeek! Not usually a huge sports fan but I love the spirit of the Olympics :)
I’m almost ashamed to say that I really can’t be bothered with it. Those pics made me smile though x
I must admit I’ve mostly just been watching for Zara Phillips doing the equestrian events. K&W look so adorable watching her. It’s fun to see the royal cousins showing up in support.
I have the greatest respect for the athletes: I might berate myself for a mistake at work, but I can’t imagine what it would be like if I relied on my body and physical attributes to perform well as ‘work’… crazy! The underarm muscles on the swimmers blow my mind, each one is bigger then any muscle in my entire body!
The pure emotion is incredible… But for a laugh, you should check out these Olympic pics: http://thefw.com/olympic-diving-funny-faces/
oh man, when jordyn weiber didn’t qualify for the all around sunday nite, i think all of us girls who wanted to be gymnasts when we were little felt that. such a powerful nite.
Go TEAM USA!
Currently obsessed with the Olympics. It is incredible watching these athletes!
Sarah
Wow – so powerful.
The athletes are one thing- but have you seen the parents’ reactions? NBC shot US gymnast Aly Raisman’s reaction to her bar routine- and they were hilarious. http://tinyurl.com/c9384xd
Anyway, thanks for sharing these photos!
xo,
Kristina
Where did the photos in your post come from? My friend’s dad is an AP photographer covering tennis, so I’m wondering if that tennis photo is his!
Welcome to London all who visit, we are very pleased to see you all :)
Go Team GB! (sorry couldn’t resist!)
Olympic coverage is like an addiction for me – I just can’t get enough! I can only imagine the emotions the athletes go through – I’m nervous for them and tear up when they’re either really happy or defeated.
I’m absolutely loving the Olympics and these photos. My entire family is glued to it here in London no tickets unfortunately). We had a power cut on Sunday evening after the swimming, which we’ve decided was the TV’s way of telling us we’d been sat down in front of it for too long! C’mon Team GB!
Anyone else think the 3rd photo looks like Scott Disick? (and yes, I’m ashamed to admit that I know who that is….)
These photos definitely made me tear up
I’m obsessed. I go to bed too late every night. I’m so tired, but it’s so worth it!
Such an emotional, amazing journey! Love all the pictures.
wow. these are so incredible!! my husband and I booked a last minute trip to London this weekend (we live in Amsterdam). We were watching all the coverage on BBC and couldn’t stand how CLOSE we were, yet so FAR. So we just spontaneously decided we’d make it happen! So excited!
P.S. Thanks to your post on De Kas, we decided to go there for our 2 year wedding anniversary next week. Looking forward to the whole dining experience :)
I really just can’t get enough of the Olympics. I wish there was something every year!
Those photos are amazing. I can’t even imagine how they feel.
amazing photos – i am loving the olympics! i wish i could watch more…but alas, i have a silly job i have to be at ;)
amazing!!!!!!!
These are crazy! Isn’t it funny to try and spot how many of them have the olympic rings tattooed on their bodies? You notice it most with swimmers but I’d say there’s an awful lot of them about ;)
It’s so exciting….I am glued to it here in London :)
Those are incredible!!
I get so nervous whenever I watch the program…even when I know the results in advance. :P
