How breathtaking is this framed triptych photograph of U.S. diver Patricia McCormick doing a springboard high dive at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics? (She won the gold.) Can you imagine this hanging in a home? Beautiful.

This would be perfect in a beach home. What a beautiful shot, thanks for sharing!
This would look great above the bath !
The picture is beautiful! FYI: my good friend Courtney Matthewson is on this year’s Olympic waterpolo team! Hooray!
Amazing! Love the split effect of the image!
so inspiring!
This is beautiful! I was on the dive team for a year in high school – such a great sport!
Very cool photo! I did gymnastics for 12 years and dove in college. This photo brings back many great memories of a graceful, but hard sport.
That’s beautiful. It also makes me insanely jealous – how graceful.
This is just beautiful! Diving is really such a graceful sport
It’s sort of strange and beautiful at the same time. She looks like a nautilus. Very striking.
I LOVE THIS!!!!! What a great idea. Xo
Beautiful! I have a black and white picture of my son playing in the sand on the beach that I would love to give this treatment to. Thanks for the idea!
I think it’s a nice image. But I’d prefer it as a single image rather than a triptych. And as AVY said, not so tightly cropped.
It reminds me of my ballet classes, but up in the air, upside down! So beautiful ♥
That is a lovely photo. there is a photographer who take street style in very similar style 3 photos 1 outfit

Love that photo! xx
That’s so rad! I’ll have to show my dad this. He actually competed in the ’52 Olympics for track, but for India, not the U.S. But I wonder if he saw this or not. : ) So cool!
It does seem like a nautical shell! So graceful.
It kinda makes me think of a nautilus shell.
Black and white sport photography holds a special place in my heart. This is beautifully genius. I’d hang it up in a heart beat.
really breathtaking!
Gorgeous photo. Can’t wait for the Olympics. I love watching gymnastics, swimming and diving!
Oh my gosh!! This is stunning.
Love this!
Beautiful!!!
And the great things bout triptych photographs is that you can hang them slightly misaligned, which I think makes the whole thing look even cooler.
um, i mostly love the swimsuit! a nice vintage change from the high-legged speedo one-pieces they’ve got going on these days. those suits always look like they’re pulling on their…vajayjays…uncomfortably!
Hi Joanna,
I am booking a trip to amsterdam this summer, can I ask how you flew there? What airline, and was it direct? Your seats look so comfy in the picture! I am finding a major difference in price between economy and business class.
Thanks,
Patricia
that image is breathtaking!
that image is breathtaking!
It’s so beautiful. She looks so strong and in control!
p.s. I want that bathing suit!
Empowering! I’d love to hang it above my computer. :)
she looks FIERCE!
Beautiful!
Oh my gosh I adore this! I was a diver all through high school and college. Love it! xo
