Remember Cameron’s house in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? Well, it’s for sale now for a cool $2.3 million. How rad is that?

I have always loved this house too. The thing I wonder about is where did they hide the kitchen and bathroom?

I am not a minimalist decorator AT ALL but this house could change my ways! It feels like you’re living in a tree house! I love the clean, outdoorsy feel. Makes me want to live in the middle of nowhere!
It’s an awsome place. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
thats awesome.
i’ll take it! haha except i’d be afraid i’d do the same thing as cameron did and send my car launching down into the ravine..
such a cool house. very mies/johnson. wouldn’t mind winning the lottery just now.
I can’t believe it!! So cool.
I wonder what the gas bill is to heat it in the chicago winter?!!
i love that you say “rad”…it’s one of my favorite adjectives to use—fun and retro! you’re blog is great…
How cool would it be to say that I live in the Ferris Bueller’s Day house? Hehe. That’d be pretty good.
such an amazing house. I want to be there now.
I have always loved that house, I wonder if I can convince my husband to move??1
the raddest
oooh so cool…that movie is really one of the all time best, no?
I love it. I grew up wanting this to be my house and tried to drag my boyfriend to it (with no avail) when we went to Chicago a few years ago.
Also linked to your post – I hope you don’t mind…. I added a few great shots of the last time we were in Chicago though.
That takes me back and yes so cool!
I know! So awesome, right? I wonder if it comes with the car… :)
mi piace!! pretty cool
It is really beautiful, though I would feel a little exposed living there – You never know who is watching
that is such a cool house. what exciting news!
I heard about this house on the radio. What a cool thing to be known for, “I live in Cameron’s house from Ferris Buehler!” Loved that movie.
I think living in an open space like this house can be a unique experience. of course, not everyone can feel comfortable, but hey – that’s what draperies are for! :)
I knew it…before I even read it! this kills me! I would love to know how many hours I spent immersed in this classic…hehe…xo t
p.s. thanks for the memories!
LOVE that movie…I will forever adore Matthew Broderick because of Ferris Bueller. He was so freaking cool :)
That is so cool!! And thanks so much for the sweet comment! I’ve loved reading about your wedding planning and welcome any advice! :)
I really need to find $2.3 million dollars.
By where I grew up! Oh the memories…
Maybe Matthew Broderick is interested??
so cool! I immediately showed my boyfriend this post because we love that movie! but I mean, who doesn’t? :) I totally remember that scene in the movie where the car goes through the window!
what an amazing place to have a party! Just can imagine christmas lights hung in the trees and dancing to eighties music …fun!
It’s weird to think movie houses really exist out there… It would be strange to meet someone, ‘wanna come back to mine for a coffee?’ and bam! you’re hangin’ out in Cameron’s house. That would be wicked.
omg seriously?!
i loved this house! (and the film is one of my all time faves!)
Wow! What memories does this bring back! I loved that movie. It was so different for the time. I was either a senior in High School, or just after when I saw it. I had a soft spot for Cameron! And I tried so hard to dress like Sloane.. although I looked nothing like her, and didn’t own white boots! But there were these crazy houses tucked away in the woods where I grew up. I used to baby-sit for people that lived this life.
Thanks for sharing! Now I’ll go fantasize about the house, Cameron and those white boots!
what an amazing house, but i would be a little phobic living in the woods.
Does it come with that fabulous red convertible from the movie? Because, then I’m totally in.
seriously? that’s really awesome.
although cameron wore a red wings jersey and i am wholeheartedly pulling for the penguins right now.. ;)
I firmly believe that if you spend $2.3 million on a house, you shouldn’t be able to see your neighbors (see bottom picture).
if only….
man i loved that movie. i wasn’t mature enough at the time to realize the genius of cameron, and my heart belonged solely to ferris, animal-print vest and all.
This movie is absolutely one of my all time favorites!!! I can’t believe it. really. …if only.
Ohhh man that’s a sweet house. =)
When I lived in Boulder, we had the famous Mushroom House!

From Woody Allen’s movie “Sleeper.” =)
love that movie….
love that house.
hi jo,
just wanted to let you know I tagged you in my blog today. I tagged you because you are an inspiration.
and that deserves recognition!
I am dreaming of this house…
and LOL to the post by A Life More Fabulous
I vote the old teacher come back to try and auction it off… “Anyone? Anyone?”
only 2.3 million? sweet. now i have enough money to roll a really expensive car off the side.
OMG. This is awesome!
This is my boyfriend’s all time FAVORITE movie. Wait til I tell him about this..he’s sure to flip!
I am obsessed with treehouses!
thank you for this great post.
I totally agree with Stacy. I loved the boat house from Sleepless in Seattle. Haha! And I love this house too!
that is hilarious! i will never forget that moment in the movie when the car goes catapulting off the cinder blocks, through the window and down into the trees. haha.
this is so funny. and now I’m going to have to watch the movie again!
Maybe you and I can go halfies? Bueller, Bueller Bueller? Come stop by too see a few of my favorite things…
So awesome, isn’t it.
Beyond! OMG it is gorge. And it looks like they repaired the glass quite nicely after Cameron’s dad’s car flew threw the back window!
very cool
my total dream house!! and i promise not to throw any stones either.
Aw…I just (re)watched that movie the other day. Love that Cameron. What a great house! All those windows!
looks like they fixed the windows.
I saw this on another site. It’s a fabulous house, isn’t it? Just the surrounds are wonderful.
My husband was just telling me about this last week. Too cool!
how awesome! whoever buys this will be so lucky and sooo envied!
Totally bodacious ;-)
what a blast from the past! imagine the bragging rights you’d have if you purchased that house :)
Hahahaha! YES!
Wow! The open space is so cool – great breather!!!
I love all this hype! I need to watch the movie again to scope out the place.
oh, man! i think this is subconsciously my dream house, although i’d rather have something built out of wood–but the glass walls with trees all around?! heaven.
Wow, great place and the price of it is just as wow!
totally unique!
Excellent. Now all I need is $2.3 million.
