red is THE accent color; it’s vivid and rich enough to be noticed (unlike softer/lighter hues used as an accent) and in small, well-placed doses, red can change the energy of a room. I agree with your friend Abby

Red does have a nice pop in home decor, but I’m always afraid it won’t match. I tend to get matchy-matchy with concepts in the home.
The room in the third picture is absolutely amazing. That is exactly the type of room I want to spend eternity in.

Red is definitely my favorite color. I love to see splashes of it here and there (Check out the movie Le Ballon Rouge). I also did my room in black and white with splashes of red.

I love little hints of red. It reminds me of all my favorite things like apple trees, where the color of the tree is dominant, but in the distance, you see the flecks of red from the apples. Lovely.
