Have a Cool Weekend.

Have a Great Weekend

What are you up to this weekend? We’re flying to Pittsburgh for my cousin’s wedding. We grew up together, so my siblings and I still call him “Baby Jerm” even though he’s 28. It’s funny how nicknames can stick. Also, a quick question: Would it be insane to wear a black jumpsuit to a black-tie-optional wedding? If I dress it up with high heels and red lipstick? Or awesome? I can’t decide! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and here are a few fun links from around the web…

  1. Hi there would you mind letting me know which hosting company you’re using?
I’ve loaded your blog in 3 different browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot quicker then most.
Can you suggest a good internet hosting provider at a reasonable price?
    Thank you, I appreciate it!

  2. i just recently wore a black jumpsuit as the godmother to my niece’s confirmation. these things seem so formal in mexico, when i met her at the church, she was SO hpayy to see i wore my special occasion staple – brand new b/w high top chucks. <3

  3. sofia says...

love jumpsuits! But, I’m guessing that means in the US it is totally cool to wear black at weddings? I know that in many European countries that’s a big NO NO. No black and no white. Interesting how it doesn’t seem to be “a thing” over there.

  4. Julia says...

Just FYI, the bunny in those photos is being tranced in most of those pictures (flipped on its back), which is traumatic for rabbits. They’re prey animals, so being on their back usually means their life is about to end because they’re going to be eaten. I didn’t see a place to leave a comment on that blog post, so I wanted to at least say something here.

  5. carolanne says...

No question. I really hope you wore the jumpsuit. You need to tell us.

  6. I wear a giant sunhat every day in the summer and always get compliments. People love hats (and I don’t like the sun!)!

  7. KT says...

Very cute bunny! One thing to keep in mind is that there are a lot of unwanted bunnies in shelters because people buy them (thinking they’ll be cute pets!) only to discover that they require a HUGE amount of care and maintenance. Bunnies can also be really destructive to a home space, which is another reason why people often get rid of them. Check out this instagram for more information on bunny care and adoption: https://instagram.com/bunnymama/
They’re very specialized pets, definitely not for everyone.

  8. i have not done much this father’s day june 22sd 2015 i watched the bodyguard and read the sf gate bobby brown’s speech he is not the cause of Whitney Houston’s death since Whitney Houston told Oprah her brother gave her drugs in 2009 during when she was Whitney Houston i saw it today for the 3rd time and then i put some hot red lipstick on classic 90’s collection and a little succleant cherry classic 90’s collection 2 reds and i told my dad i loved him we did’nt do much this father’s day my mother just took a picture of me and sent it to my sister this father’s day my dad loves me everyday

  9. Umm…totally awesome!! I hope you did it!

  10. Yep! Black jumpsuits are PERFECT for black-tie optional weddings – wore one to a wedding a couple of months ago with the same dress code. Depending on the fabric, jumpsuits can be dressy.

  11. Jess west says...

Oh my “mortified” is the greatest thing ever! Thankyou
Crying with laughter in my kitchen with my earphones in with weird looks from my 8 yr old. I am sending this to all my school girlfriends! Amazing!

  12. Tsultrim says...

    Dear Joanna,

I love your blog, I love your posts, but it really shocks me that you never comment in events such as Charleston…. Really, are those your only concerns? I am sure not. Please speak up! Lot’s of people read you and think about what you have to say. We have to have a serious discussion in this country and those who have public voices have to stop pretending nothing is happening! Have a good we!

  13. ali says...

love the idea of texting blood donors- i wonder how they organize that?

  14. Emily says...

Awesome! (and I love the sunglasses on your kiddo! :) )

  15. Amy says...

Awesome. So awesome. Please do it, take awesome pictures, and post on the experience!!

  16. Paige says...

I wore a strapless black jumpsuit to a black tie event in April. I wore red lipstick and d’orsay black flats. I received tons of compliments to “making a statement!” although I wasn’t trying to – just simply thought it would be easier to move around in for 4 hours!

  17. Yes i want a pet bunny after seeing those pictures!

  18. CanadianJane says...

Absolute no to the jumpsuit. It is a black-tie wedding! You will stick out like a sore thumb and feel sorry that you did not dress up enough compared to everyone else. Cocktails? Sure. But not black-tie. It’s a cute jumpsuit but thoroughly inappropriate for such an event.

  19. EKmama says...

I also live in Pittsburgh! I hope you have a chance to check out some of the city (and write about it!) There are some really great restaurants, brunch spots and things to do with kids! Glad you’re going for the jumpsuit, I think it’ll look very classy and chic!

  20. Heather says...

Awesome! I am thinking of doing the same thing for a wedding in August. High heels and red lip with the black jumpsuit = black tie and classy for sure!

  21. Nina Hanika says...

I just wore a burgundy vintage jumpsuit to the St John’s College May Ball in Cambridge, probably one of the most black tie events you can get, and there were plenty of other jumpsuits about of all shades (black culottes and silvery-blue-grey were my other two favourites).
This summer is the season of the formal jumpsuit! Go for it!

  22. Tallia says...

We used to live in Pittsburgh and we miss it so much! If you are in shadyside you have to eat at Noodlehead. And the children’s museum on the north side is the best I have ever been to.

  23. p.s. Yes to the jumpsuit!

  24. The Judd Apatow interview Q+As are sweet, humorous, and so touching. Can’t wait to read his book; it’s gonna be a keeper.
And the Jan Van Eyck/Putin reference made me a little bit spit out my coffee. Worth it.
Have a wonderful weekend, Joanna. You’re pretty great.

  25. Christi says...

    AWESOME!

  26. I live in Pittsburgh! I hope you enjoy! It’s a pretty city! Totally go for the jumpsuit! You’re the cool cousin from New York. You can get away with it.

  27. I follow Katia on instagram, such a cute bunny, Id love one!

  28. Elise says...

Yes absolutely, my Mum wore a black jumpsuit to my wedding and got more comments than I did! She wore gold sandals/belt and a coral 3 quarter jacket.

    • Joanna Goddard says...

      your mom sounds awesome!

  29. Gabrielle says...

We had 2 house rabbits for about 6 years. They are super cute and way more playful and full of personality than people would think. However, they do chew everything (electrical cords, books, buttons off the remote etc.), and not all of them love cuddles (we had one that did and one that was more distant).

  30. India says...

Thats so funny that the girl in the bunny story is from Adelaide. I’m from Adelaide and so many of my friends or friends of friends have recently got a pet rabbit, it seems to be a trend here at the moment!

    • Binkysmom says...

I had my Binky boy for 10 years (he was a shelter bun). They make great pets if you have the time for them. Lots of work, but worth it!

  31. Wendy says...

    Yessss! Wear it! Post pics!

  32. kate says...

Um, did you happen to notice in your link to “How to recognize paintings”, there is a link to the right with a three pics and titled, “This is why little kids cry” and there is a pic of Toby? I don’t know how that caught my eye but that’s pretty funny!

  33. Oh my goodness GO FOR IT. Would be so awesome.

  34. colleen says...

Would love to see pictures if you wear the jumpsuit! Also, what did you think of the Brian Wilson movie from last weekend? I heard it’s some of John Cusack’s best work ever.

  35. I’m sending that travel guide to LA to all my LA friends! It’s always a fun idea to use a travel guide for your own city.

    http://www.smallestthing.com

  36. Alisa says...

    Awesome, definitely awesome. Rock it!

  37. Megan says...

    Awesome!

  38. Camille says...

Not insane at all to wear a jumpsuit! I think it would look tres chic. Also, I love that the jumpsuit you linked to is made in the USA. Supporting sweatshop-free clothing is an important issue for me (and I bet many other Cup of Jo readers, too) so I’d love to see more ethical clothing sponsors (and fewer unethical ones!).

Hope you have a great time at the wedding!

  39. Sara says...

Wear it!! You will look fantastic!

    Enjoy Pittsburgh!

  40. Absolutely awesome! Go for the jumpsuit, and share a photo. ;)

  41. Sarah says...

Wear the jumpsuit! I was at a nice wedding at the Montauk Yacht Club recently and two women were wearing jumpsuits – they looked incredible and so chic. We all wished we’d worn one!

  42. C says...

No jumpsuit for black-tie wedding… I am European and I have to say you a big no! ;)

  43. Do it! Do it! I just wore a navy jumpsuit to a wedding and I felt comfy and chic the whole time. Good lipstick and heels are a must of course, you’re right. Best part? It’s real easy to get down on the dance floor!

  44. suzanne morris says...

Absolutely would NOT be insane to wear that romper with glam makeup and heels. Perfect. Here’s hoping the wedding is loads of fun :)

  45. Best idea ever to wear a black jumpsuit to the wedding!

  46. Calliope says...

I’ve been keeping bunnies as pets for years! They make excellent pets! They are clean, quiet, social, & do great in small spaces like apartments. Wink!

  47. Belt the jumpsuit ?! Have a good weekend.

  48. Emily says...

i got married last month and the dress code was black tie optional. Two guests showed up in (different) black jumpsuits and I thought they looked amazing and totally appropriate! Go for it!

  49. Yes to the jumpsuit and please for the love of christmas post pictures!

    • Joanna Goddard says...

your comment made me lol. i’ll make alex snap some tonight!

  50. black jumpsuit = awesome, no question. i just bought one for a wedding this summer as well. also – how awesome that you get to ask for a zillion opinions on what to wear?! :) xo

    • Joanna Goddard says...

yes! SO AWESOME. feel v lucky for all these lovely ladies!

  51. Sara says...

The jumpsuit is perfect! Post pictures when you rock it :)

  52. I think every other commenter here has already convinced you on the jumpsuit :) Now I wish I had an event to wear a cool black jumpsuit to! The only wedding I have coming up is on a farm ;)

  53. Eva says...

It would be awesome, go for it!

  54. erika says...

Joanna- if I am working as the photographer at the wedding you’re at this weekend, I may have to say hello.

    • erika says...

Sorry, that’s weird. Please enjoy Pittsburgh and have a great trip!

    • Joanna Goddard says...

      PLEASE DO!!!!!!

  55. Leslie says...

Wear the jumpsuit! I wanted to wear one to a wedding (in Pittsburgh, actually) last month but I couldn’t find one that fit right. Go for it.

  56. Iris says...

DEFINITELY with the jumpsuit – love that idea. if it is plain black it could be cool with some brightly colored sandal heels or red lipstick like you said. have fun!

  57. Amber says...

Long time reader here who lives in Pittsburgh! Enjoy our beautiful city, even though the weather forecast looks gross this weekend!

  58. Steph B says...

I thought the bunny piece was satire at first, like the bunny was writing it. The bunny lives in the country and makes ceramics with his partner Rohan. Lol! And yes to the jumpsuit! So cool.

  59. JK says...

I love the jumpsuit but wouldn’t wear it a black tie optional wedding in Pittsburgh. In LA or NY, sure, but people in Pittsburgh will probably think it’s weird. If you don’t mind the attention, go for it, but I would be self conscious! Save it for another event.

  60. Nancy says...

    Wear the jumpsuit!

  61. Megan says...

YES to the jumpsuit! I just wore one to my friend’s wedding…mostly because it was strapless and I’m nursing, but I LOVED it. So chic and comfy… plus it didn’t matter that I didn’t have time to shave my legs. :) Have fun!

  62. Grace says...

Do the jumpsuit! Anton is precious. My son has that same onesie, and I feel like Anton wears it in all of the pictures. It makes me smile!

  63. Amy says...

I am chiming in to echo the sentiments of Jennifer Cho Salaff about the Charleston shooting. I was similarly surprised to see no acknowledgment of what seemed to me like a huge national tragedy on a blog where I have come to expect thoughtful recognition of current events.

To that end, I found this article illuminating:
    http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/news/a35793/charleston-shooting-discussion/

“Not to think about these things is to betray the dead. Not to speak of these things is to dishonor them. “

    • Thanks for sharing, Amy. That Esquire article got so many things right.

A quote that struck me, from today’s NYT:

“Part of the problem why we continue to visit these moments is because there is of a lack of honesty about how we got here,” [Michael A. Walrond, Jr., pastor at First Corinthian Baptist Church in Harlem] said. “Racism, bigotry, prejudice and hatred are elements woven into the fabric of this country… There can be no healing in this land if we are not honest about who we are.”

  64. Cynthia says...

I don’t think you are supposed to wear black or white to a wedding. I always wear dresses to weddings, because I wear pants so much during the week, and I really like dresses for dressing up.

    • Joanna Goddard says...

I *think* you can wear black to black-tie weddings, though, right? I’m going to google it! And quick, it’s just two hours away;)

  65. Amanda says...

i live in pgh! this is going to sound crazy, but i’m actually on vacation in paris right now and i’m starting to miss my little city! hope you have a great time!

  66. The jumpsuit would look fantastic! Do it and show us pics!

  67. This picture of Anton is so great, what a little goof! He looks so serious about that pony.

  68. Mia says...

you can absolutely wear that jumpsuit! remember the one emma stone wore to the golden globes?

  69. Emily says...

YES to the jumpsuit! Add a sparkly clutch (or any accessory that pops), pretty lips, and heals and I think you’re good to go.

  70. Megan says...

Hell yes to the jumpsuit. Rock it!!!!

  71. Emily says...

Absolutely yes on the jumpsuit! Dressed up properly it would be stunning and stylish! I say go for it (and take pics to share with us!)

  72. molly says...

That jumpsuit is beautiful and you will look so lovely in it!! Please share some pics if you choose it… Also, that big floppy sun hat is fantastic! I have this notion that it would be lovely to be middle-aged and recognizable on our street because I always putter about the yard in a pretty hat like that :) And that hat is fabulous and chic and perfect for summer days while sipping Pimm’s in a soft cotton dress! xo

  73. Karrie says...

    Wear. That. Jumpsuit.

  74. Love the dressed-up jumpsuit idea. You would look lovely, and with the heels and lipstick (maybe also carrying a clutch?) I think you’ll feel just the right formality level. Please post a pic of what you decide! Have fun in PA!

  75. Marie says...

A jumpsuit is fine, but I’m not sure about the color. I don’t know how it is in US but normally you can’t be dressed in white or black at a wedding…

    • carly says...

Marie, it is pretty common for people to wear black to weddings in the US, but white is definitely off limits.

  76. Kendra says...

YAAAS to the jumpsuit, but not that one.
One of the others along the bottom of the page…

The Ramy or 5th and Mercer one

  77. Jane says...

jumpsuit!!! Definitely awesome! My friend wore similar one at the wedding last week-looked amazing

  78. Yes, the jumpsuit with red lipstick and gold or silver accessories!! And, that bunny pet in your fave links is irresistibly cute! xo

  79. Dear Joanna,
I love your blog and it’s on a short list of destinations I go to almost every day. Today, I clicked to your link and was really hoping you would have something to say about Wednesday’s shooting in Charleston. You always have something authentic to share with us. Your blog has such an incredible reach (over one million unique visitors per month, right?), it would have been a meaningful opportunity to open up (and at the very least, acknowledge — maybe in a link for your Friday round-up, for example) what I think is much-needed dialogue. Yes, race is a hard topic and one that most fashion/lifestyle/parenting bloggers would rather avoid altogether. But we (and by “we” I mean Cup of Jo readers) are a community of intelligent, insightful, forward-thinking women who probably have a lot to say (and learn) about what happened two days ago.

Wednesday’s shooting in Charleston was our generation’s Birmingham.

    Sincerely yours,
    -jennifer cho salaff.
    (Founder of love, -j.)

    • agree. Though none of the bloggers I read have said anything. Very sad.

    • Joanna Goddard says...

Thank you so much for your notes. I really appreciate your comments. These types of news stories are really tricky, and something I think a lot about. Overall, I strive to make Cup of Jo an escape for people — from their busy lives, daily stresses, even devastating world events. I am very cognizant and sensitive to what is happened around us, and spend a lot of time in my real life thinking about and addressing these things. But it’s difficult to know when to write about current events on the site — what can I add to the conversation? Do people want to read about those things here, or would they rather keep this site separate from the daily news in that way, and use CoJ (and other lifestyle/culture/motherhood blogs) as a place of respite? But I hear your point about wanting to open up a dialogue on race and race relations. I’m going to think a lot about this and see how we might be able to do this in the best, most intelligent and insightful way. Thank you again, Jennifer and Hoboom. I really appreciate your feedback and insights. xoxo Joanna

    • Hi Joanna-
I really appreciate your prompt and thoughtful response. I’ve been thinking and meditating and praying (my soul has been burdened!) about what happened last Wednesday. I knew I had to write something about it on my blog, I just didn’t know exactly what to say. Until the words finally came to me in the middle of night.

I wrote about our conversation in my post (and since it was a public conversation on a comments forum I thought you’d be OK with that).

      http://jenniferchosalaff.blogspot.com/2015/06/we-should-speak-of-it-often-charleston.html

      Thanks for hearing me out.

      Sincerely yours,
      -jennifer.

  80. Nicole says...

I love the jumpsuit idea! You would rock it.

  81. Shannon says...

I read Afterbirth too. Loved it. It was difficult for me at first because I’m working on overcoming my own traumatic birth story. It’s almost two years now. I had to stop and ask myself if I wanted to continue to read it because I have been determined to end the guilt and negative fixation I have on my son’s birth. I continued reading it and really enjoyed it. I liked how it focused on friendship and an ideal community of mothers raising children and supporting one another. I also liked seeing the main character Ari grow and overcome her own battles. In the beginning of the book I couldn’t relate to her because of her strong dislike of women and female friendships but by the end I empathized with her and her struggles with female relationships.

  82. Carmen B says...

Go for it on the jumpsuit. It will look great.

  83. susan says...

YES to the jumpsuit! I’ve been to three weddings this summer and one of them was a Black Tie (not optional) and there were three ladies in jumpsuits there! They all looked great with hair done and sparkly jewelry, it’s a great look.

  84. Shannon says...

Yes to the jumpsuit plan! It is a classy and beautiful jumpsuit so however you wear it it will be wedding appropriate. I once wore dressy pants to a wedding (inspired by a friend of mine who also once wore pants to a wedding) and I received the most attention. I stood out from the rest of the wedding crowd and the typical attire.

  85. Katie says...

Yes to the jumpsuit – and show us pics!

  86. Hannah says...

That jumpsuit would be great for the wedding with heels and a red lip. Enjoy!

  87. Of course, wear the jumpsuit! I love seeing jumpsuits at the weddings I’m shooting this season – they’re always the most stylish women in attendance. Enjoy!

  88. enjoy the burgh! That’s my hometown! You’ll have to have a Primanti Brothers sandwich! And wearing anything black (and gold) in Pittsburgh always works!

  89. monkeynuts says...

the fact that it is a jumpsuit is fine but I would pause before wearing black to a wedding. Any other black tie event definitely go for it.

  90. Leigh says...

Go for the jumpsuit, love it! And as a Pittsburgher, so excited that you are visiting our city. I see lots of great suggestions for while you are here, but make a trip to Point State Park if the weather is nice, and for the little ones, the Children’s Museum on the Northside is wonderful!

  91. Oh my gosh for sure wear the jumpsuit!!!!

  92. Megan says...

Just one more enthusiastic voice in favor of you wearing that fabulous jumpsuit!

  93. Kato says...

YES to the jumpsuit! I wore a black jumpsuit last winter to both my cousins wedding and my boyfriends office christmas party: never had so many compliments, seriously more than if I had worn another dress. Have a good weekend!

  94. CC says...

Yes, I totally want to go on the dangerous foot path. I just sent that link to my friend who lives in Spain yesterday and told him next time I visit I want to go there.

As for the giant hat, no thanks. But I do wear sunscreen for my hair. Have a great weekend!

    http://candidcerebrations.wordpress.com

  95. I read After Birth after reading a couple of amazing interviews with the author, and at first I liked it but then…I don’t know…the narrator just started to really bug me! I felt like she was so judgmental and arrogant, and also so completely non-self aware re: her inability to have healthy female friendships! Haha, just my two cents. :)

  96. Ugh, even on my coolest day I’ll never be as cool as Anton ;) Have fun at the wedding!

  97. Gillyan says...

Solid YES to the jumpsuit. I’ve done it and it looked amazing (if I do so say myself). Post photos!!

  98. Jessie Walker says...

Wear the jumpsuit and wear your hair up with an awesome red lip! Show us pics!

  99. Debbie says...

I have the privilege of working red carpet award shows every year and I rocked a jumpsuit this past award season and it was a hit. And I’m a nobody! Do it. You will be far more comfortable than anyone else and will still look amazing!

  100. ashley says...

totally go for the jumpsuit. it’s all about the confidence anyway!

  101. dahlia says...

Oh: I wore the scarf over my shoulders, as a sarong, in and out of the pool… and the hat and scarf cost $50, altogether. Some of best-ever travel packing/shopping!

  102. Oh you’ll be in my neck of the woods! I vote ‘yes’ to the jumpsuit because 1. i think jumpsuits are amazing 2. if jumpsuits are being worn on the red carpet then they can surely be worn at a wedding and 3. it’s pittsburgh, its not the fanciest of places anyway ;)

  103. Madeline says...

    YES to the jumpsuit!!

  104. dahlia says...

I spent last weekend in Palm Springs, where the temp topped out at 112. This meant I spent most of my time in or around the pool in a swimsuit. Being from San Francisco, I didn’t have much of a base tan, so I bought a huge white and gold striped sunhat and a thin white cotton Indian scarf with gold dotted designs. It looked great with my black swim separates and I didn’t burn a bit! Got one zillion complements.

  105. jumpsuit = yes!

  106. Ashley H. says...

Go for the jumpsuit! I feel like heels and red lipstick would make it look put together and fantastic!

  107. Kim L says...

Absolutely 100% yes to the jumpsuit. You will steal the show. Red (or bright coral! It is summer after all…) and a high chic heel and you’re set.

  108. Yes to the jumpsuit. Have a great time! xo

  109. Amanda says...

Definitely awesome! My friend wore a jumpsuit to my wedding, and she looked so gorgeous!

  110. Amanda says...

Definitely awesome! Someone wore a black jumpsuit to my wedding, and she looked so gorgeous! xx

  111. annie g says...

WEAR THE JUMPSUIT!! WEAR THE JUMPSUIT!! Great shoes, hair up and channel Audrey Hepburn.
I think you should wear the jumpsuit…

  112. Meg says...

YES, wear that jumpsuit! When I’m on the fence about if a certain dress is formal enough for a certain occasion, I just pair it with really dressy accessories, and it always does the trick. So pair it with fancy, black-tie appropriate clutch, heels, and jewelry, plus go all out on hair and lipstick. Please, post pics!

  113. Normally I wouldn’t think jumpsuit for a wedding. But after looking at it, I think it would be a chic DO! Especially with the high heels and red lipstick, you’ll look smokin’. Maybe throw on some sparkly earrings, too. Have fun!

  114. And a super loud YES to the sun hat. Go away, wrinkles and melanoma. Plus I look so silly in my hat that it embarasses my husband. That’s pretty satisfying.

  115. Molly says...

    Jumpsuit! Do it!

  116. I would go for the jumpsuit, no doubt. It’s beautiful, comfortable, fresh, and chic. Win win.
I’ll be paying close attention to the link about how to pronounce tricky words. I never stop learning English, the perks of a second language !
Have a great weekend and wedding!

  117. Lynn says...

When convenient, my sister now wears one thing to the ceremony (like that jumpsuit with a blazer) and then a party dress to the reception. She swear by it.

  118. Molly says...

OMG so in favor of the jumpsuit option. A trendy style in a classic color/cut — you can’t go wrong.

  119. Courtney says...

You can totally wear a jumpsuit to a wedding! Very chic.

  120. Amanda McCracken says...

    Wear the jumpsuit.

  121. Lais says...

Joanna, the jumpsuit looks great! High heels for sure, red lipstick, or a memorable earring would make it very chic and stylish for the wedding. I always admire women at parties who look different than the traditional black tie/prom dress. Effortless elegant. Go for it!

  122. that is a GORGEOUS jumpsuit. i think you should wear it.

  123. Charlotte says...

    Yes! Black jumpsuit! Do it!

  124. Lane says...

Love it! I think the black jumpsuit would be just as classy as anything else, go for it!

  125. Jordan says...

Pittsburgh is a great town. Definitely check out the strip district and hit up coffee/espresso at La Prima espresso (there are always older italian gentleman drinking espresso, hanging out and playing cards), and Edgars Taco cart right near it.

    • Sarah says...

Not to be confused with the taco cart in front of Reyna’s! Take a turn down 21st for Edgar’s.

  126. Didn’t what’s-her-name from Birdman wear a black jumpsuit to the oscars? Emma Stone! That’s it! She looked pretty fabulous. Have fun at the wedding :)

  127. sarah says...

Yes do the jumpsuit! With heels and red lipstick, you’ll look amazing. Have fun!

100% AWESOME idea to dress up a black jumpsuit! I honestly think, if done right, a jumpsuit is far more chic & sleek than any gown or cocktail dress.

  129. The black jumpsuit would be awesome. Just carry it with confidence! If you do wear it, please post pictures! I always want to get a jumpsuit/romper… but not sure I can confidently wear it casually.

Dressed-up jumpsuits are TOTALLY appropriate and fun for a black tie event! I wore a hot-pink jumpsuit for a black tie event recently, and I received compliments all night! Hope you post photos from the wedding – have fun!
