Meet the Team

Joanna Goddard

Founder & Editor

In 2007, Joanna began Cup of Jo as a weekend hobby, but then developed it into the award-winning daily website it is today — with a deeply engaged readership, impactful essays, and a diverse team of writers. In fall 2023, she also launched a weekly newsletter, Big Salad, about style and relationships. With more than 197,000 subscribers, Big Salad is the #1 fashion/beauty publication on all of Substack. Joanna has written for many magazines, including Glamour and New York. She lives with her two chatty boys in Brooklyn, and you can find her on Instagram.

Alison Piepmeyer

She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two kids, loves a good audiobook, and will always say yes to hosting friends for bagels. Reach out to alison@cupofjo.com or find her on Instagram.
