Hi Jessica Olien!
Thanks for your self-love motivational mindset share.
I’ve started putting on dresses every Friday and Saturday night. Even though I’m still just staying home and making dinner, it feels like a distinct break from the other days in the week and more fun/special. Plus then my dresses get to see the light of day!!
My housemates and I have Saturday taco night and I recently started dressing up for it by putting on ‘hard’ clothes (ie; jeans) and it makes it feel so much more special! I think we’ve also been missing the anticipation and process of getting ready to go out.

Yes let’s dress for ourselves, we are worth it, no audience necessary!
Love the celebration of Self!
I never wore perfume regularly until this year, but I find myself reaching for it every morning. I have two that I rotate between. One smells like the beach and one smells sexy.
What does one wear when even sweatpants feel too “dressed”?
Love.
I’ve never worn more socks more than during the pandemic. What used to be a sad box of a few pairs is now an organized drawer of wardrobe decisions. I’ve got my workout socks, my comfy socks, my embarrassing holiday themed socks, my work socks, and my fancy socks.
Wearing thick socks with a dress or skirt is such a specifically comfortable sensation! My legs are like “ooh, swishy swishy!” and my feet are like “mmm, cozy”.
This made me smile.
Me too. What a sweet comment!!!
Haha I love this. I 100% dress up and wear scent just for moi. I truly appreciate my own efforts.
Same here! I have a perfume I only wear on weekends to break up the week and celebrate a bit.
“eau de excitement” haha. Reminded me of this woman dressing up for the vaccine – a whole entire vibe: https://twitter.com/ashlieatkinson/status/1364289562734960641?s=20
I wore leopard print chiffon to a DMV license-renewal appointment in the fall. That holiday dress was NOT going to languish in the closet.
Thanks for sharing that! :)
Oh wow, I’m going to do the same for my vaccine! Don’t know when it’s going to happen but I’m ready!!
