Editorial Assistant
About the role:
We’re looking for a smart, energetic editorial assistant to join our team of editors. You will collaborate with our editors to bring story ideas to life across multiple channels. You’ll meet with our team to brainstorm fresh and compelling post ideas, and conduct research and scout candidates for our series (house tours, beauty uniforms, weeks of outfits). You’ll write short posts and captions. You’ll also help with art direction by assisting on photo shoots and with photo scouting. You’ll communicate with companies and PR organizations; some market work required. You’ll also offer administrative support in the office, as needed; you will approach both big and small responsibilities with enthusiasm.
About the ideal candidate:
* A quick learner who is eager to grow
* Curious, efficient and solution oriented
* Strong communication skills, both verbal & written
* Very organized with a strong attention to detail
* Avid reader of blogs and online media; explorer of all corners of the Internet
* Bonus: 1-3 years experience in online publishing or at a lifestyle magazine; experience with WordPress
