Whenever they’re clean, I reach for the Hanna Anderson’s first! Thick, soft cotton that washes so well and lasts through multiple kids! Can’t go wrong with a classic stripe. You’ve got to catch a sale, though, and they always charge for shipping ($8, but still) so my sister and I try to go in on orders together. Every Christmas we do a coordinated order so all the cousins get matching Xmas jammies. And then we all die of cuteness.

  2. My favorite thing at the end of the day: my freshly bathed sweetly-smelling munchkins in cute PJs cuddling with me <3

My 4 year old has this button-down “old man” pj set from GAP that he would wear every night if we let him. I don’t know what it is… but he digs it. It’s surprisingly hard to find similar styles though- we live in San Francisco so he can essentially do flannel year round, but nobody sells them.

For other clothes, we’ve really been into Zara Baby lately. Their basics are both affordable and adorable, and then there’s the really fun stuff :) It’s that and Primary in the drawers, essentially!

  4. Jill says...

I’m glad to see some parents still put their little ones in jammies. I don’t get the idea of sleeping in clothes. I wouldn’t sleep in my outfit for the next day, so why would my children. I loved when mine were little at bedtime-baths and nice, cozy clean jammies. My boys wore jeans a lot and my daughter dresses, so very uncomfy to sleep in. Plus, don’t they get all wrinkly?

Burt’s Bees organic cotton pajamas are our favorites. Zippers, snug fits, cute designs, frequent sales!

    • Morgan M. says...

Those always look so cute– where are the sales that you find?

    • Lynn says...

Sales are directly on the burts bees baby website – email notifications help.

    • Cb says...

Burt’s Bees are the best! I’m in the UK where they are harder to find so my mom buys 5-6 pairs in each size and brings them over. I find the stripes softer than the patterned ones.

The Zippy Wondersuits from Bonds (Australia) are the best. Gorgeous prints, soft cotton, and built-in socks and mittens. I’ve had them in every size for my kid as she grows. Sadly frustrating for potty training though.

Most of our toddler’s jammies come from Walmart or Target. His favorites are sweet Paw Patrol, Mickey and Star Wars sets. Something so endearing about that little glimpse of tummy and the bare feet.

  8. Lane says...

It’s so hot in Georgia most of the year that my kids rebel against anything more than a diaper/underwear at night. However, in the morning my oldest likes to throw on one of my husband’s white undershirts, which are like a nightgown on him. And now the three year old does the same with his big brother’s shirts! It’s so precious – and makes changing diapers easier.

    • Riley says...

      oooo we love them too!

  9. Allyson says...

EVERYONE: you must check out Leveret’s mauve swan jammies! I’ve bought my 9 month old three pairs- stretching in size to 5T because I want her to wear them for.ev.er. Organic cotton, MAUVE, swans, so soft and cozy. I never guessed I’d have such strong opinions on Marion’s sleepwear and yet.

    • Jenna D'Alessandro says...

Omg I love Leveret I completely agree! I bought the Stripes collection for Christmas and my whole family’s obsessed! They’re soooo soft and cozy. One of my favorite brands.

  10. Liz says...

Someone, PLEEAASE make these for adult women.

  11. Esther says...

Boden has Glow-in-the-dark PJs. Very cute, but I almost died when my two boys stood in a corner of our room just glowing in the middle of the night … no Heads … no feet

  12. Roxana says...

I am with you. There is something about kiddos in PJs. . . as you say, makes my heart swell :).

Our kids were at VBS last week at church, and each day had a theme (related to attire). Pajama day was my favorite! All these kids swarming around in PJs. And some of them still had bed head. SO CUTE.

  13. Claire says...

Delightful prints! Our little guy is now 17 years old and 6’2 ” ( it went by so fast, mamas).
    But I would wear these.

  14. Carolyn says...

My mother-in-law calls my 6 month-old son ‘smiley bear’. Recently she has been staying over one night a week so my husband and I can catch up on sleep (she’s the best), so we got those cute bear pajamas from Hanna Andersson as a surprise and she loved them. :)

  15. Kate says...

My eight week old refuses pyjamas — she bats herself in the face too often — but loves her sleep sacks. She’s got a beautiful one from Little Unicorn in a celestial print that matches the rest of the decor in her nursery.

I’ll add that I was never a pyjama person growing up or as a young adult, but decided last Christmas that I wanted to be able to get up with my kid and play or have breakfast or whatever, before facing the day. My own family was always very rigid — “you must wash and dress for the day before you eat or play”. My husband gifted me a extremely comfortable pair of J Crew pyjamas this year, and I’ve since added a pair of super soft bamboo pants from Kyte to my drawer. It’s amazing how luxurious it feels to have real bed clothes, and to not have to throw on an old t-shirt when staying at my in-laws!

  16. Lindsay says...

Cute! Your boys always seem to wear pajamas–why’s that?

  17. LAura says...

a pair of 69$ pajamas, wow!!

  18. Katherine says...

:D I’ll take the stingray, clouds and rainbow for myself please…

  19. Stephanie says...

These are beautiful, but I have a hard time spending more than $15 on a pair of pjs! We love Old Navy, Gap (on sale), Cotton On Kids (also on sale), and Carters. All of these brands may not be quite as beautiful as these, but they’ve lasted through 2 boys and they’re cute enough!

  20. My heart swells seeing littles ones in PJs too! My daughter wore onesies to bed for longest time. ADORABLE. Now she has a really cute bacon and eggs set that makes us both smile of an evening when we get ready for bed :-)

  21. The watermelon, poppies, and stars are my faves! So so cute!

  22. Nicole says...

Am I the only one who doesn’t always put their kids in pajamas? Most nights I just put them in whatever dress or leggings I want them to wear the next day so that I can just skip the whole step of dressing them in the morning. I mainly break out the pajamas – the warm, flannel types – in the winter months. Am I just lazy or do more people secretly do this too?

    • Liz says...

YES! I do this too. You’re not lazy, you’re smart :)

  23. Jackie says...

Love the poppies! We love Primary for our kids. Super affordable, great fabrics and colors (only primary colors and now stripes), and for all bodies/ages.

  24. Lauren says...

Both my boys (5 and 2) stopped wearing pajamas and put on their “tomorrow clothes” after they take a bath in the evening. It makes the morning much easier, but I do miss the adorable little jammies! Maybe I’ll check some of these suggestions out for the inevitable pajama day at school.

  25. Rosie says...

IS THIS A NEW FONT? and why does it have me wiggin’? change is hard, joanna, change is hard…

  26. Marney says...

While I love crushing on all the cute stuff for the babes, I’d love to see clothes for older elementary kids! My guy will be ten soon – he loves character T-shirt’s (yawn) and fedoras (yay!).

    • Joanna Goddard says...

fedoras!! so cute!! for kids’ clothes, we love primary and mabo. i’d love to hear from other parents, too!

    • Marianne says...

Same here! We do a lot of Hanna Anderson because they carry larger sizes, but I’d love some other options.

  27. Hanna Andersson jammies are hands-down the very best. Soft, great prints, durable beyond measure. Whenever anyone I know has a baby, I give them Hannas.

    • Joanna Goddard says...

i love hannas too! they’re so thick and soft, and they last forever.

    • Lindsay says...

Yep, after trying a couple other brands (including an expensive one) I wouldn’t buy anything other than Hanna Andersson. And they’re always having sales. I kind of want to keep my daughter in the adorable one-piece jammies forever–what age do kids usually switch over to the two-piece sets?

  28. So cute! I don’t have kids, but I do need new PJ’s. I wonder if any of these will fit ;)

    • Joanna Goddard says...

hahaha you should check out hanna andersson — they have adult sizes!

    • Christie says...

My 6yo daughter loves the Hanna Anderson ones so much and begged me to get matching ones with her, so I did for Xmas and love them too!! Hanna has tons of sales so I just wait for them. If you get their emails it seems like something is always on sale.

  29. Laura C. says...

WHY don’t they do these ones for adults??? They’re lovely!!

  30. Abesha1 says...

    Cute=expensive….

    They’re lovely, though.

    • Naomi Erwich says...

Yea, these are insanely expensive pajamas! I’ll stick with Carters

    • Heather D says...

You can get some super cute ones at big box stores. Our little guy’s jammies are from Walmart and Target and are super cute.

  31. Katie says...

I know they are cheap, but we always come back to Old Navy pajamas! Love them!!!

    • Shira says...

      Me too me too!
