Cup of Jo Gets a Makeover

cup-of-jo-redesign-apt-one

Hello! We are so excited to show you Cup of Jo’s redesign, and I really hope you like it. Here’s the before-and-after…

The first step: Last summer, I was finally able to buy cupofjo.com. A guy from Texas had been sitting on it, waiting for me to buy it, and, after years of negotiating, we finally agreed on a price. I was thrilled.

We worked with Spencer and Liza from the design firm Apartment One to give the site a fresh look, and our genius web developer Zoe Rooney made the magic happen.

Our goals were to make the site feel warm and welcoming, but also cleaner and more modern…

HEADER BEFORE:

HEADER AFTER:

If you look closely, you’ll see that the “O” in “A CUP OF JO” changes depending on which category you’re in.

We also wanted to showcase the archives, since some evergreen posts — say, having a boy or a messy side ponytail — were getting buried deep in the site, and we didn’t want them to get lost forever.

Now if you click on the top categories — fashion, design, etc. — you’ll be taken to a grid of all the past posts. Feel free to click around and check it out, if you’re in the mood!

(We’re working hard on fixing old photos and code, so please forgive us if you see some wonky stuff this week.)

Cup of Jo - Apartment-One-site-redesign

Here are a few shots at the design studio, Apartment One. They would serve banana bread at every meeting.

Cup of Jo -new-site-header

They actually cut out the paper “O” in “A CUP OF JO” to photograph the blog header.

Nala the Frenchie is their unofficial mascot.

She came to every meeting.

So much analysis went into every tiny decision. I have renewed respect for anyone who has ever done a redesign. It’s no joke.

Huge thanks to Apartment One and Zoe Rooney, as well as to Caroline and Lexi (a new Cup of Jo editor, who we’ll introduce you to later this week).

Looking ahead, we’re excited to launch new series about career, fashion and relationships, as well as a third installment of Motherhood Around the World. As always, I love love love your comments and feel so grateful to be able to have conversations with such awesome women. Thank you so much for reading, and let us know what you think. xoxo

  1. Karinny says...

I reads so much better on my iPhone! Thanks for making it so practical, this is my favorite blog, great job guys!

  2. Love it so much! As someone who has been reading your blog since way back in the beginning, I’m thrilled to watch your transformations ^_^ Keep up the awesome!!

  3. Joanna says...

This is really great! I probably don’t visit enough websites/blogs to say this but i love the design of your blog. Placing highly relatable old posts at the end of new ones. Makes reading your blog really enjoyable. Especially for readers like me who likes random interesting posts:)

  4. Well done!! looks great – Im hoping to redesign mine soon too!

  5. Scottelle says...

This website is beautiful! The content is light and spot on.

  6. Looks beautiful! This was my first chance to read your blog this week and I can’t believe I forgot about Friday’s post so I was so excited when I saw the new domain name, the new header and new fonts, I love it all! As a long time reader I love being able to see the enormous success that you have managed to create while maintaining a sense of integrity and authenticity. You are truly an inspiration to me!

  7. Love the look! This company also looks like so much fun to work for!!!

  8. Hi there! Love the redesign. When I saw the new URL, I exclaimed out loud, and seriously four people in the coffee shop looked over at me. Oops :) I couldn’t help myself though! Everything looks so great. Looking forward to the exciting things to come. xo

  9. lovelovelove the redesign! wanted to point out that the link to your new york city guide doesn’t work just in case you hadn’t noticed that – i’m so impressed with the general lack of bugs, though – this can’t have been an easy migration. (mostly: i wanted to look through the guide and now i can’t find it…)

but seriously: this is hands down one of the best redesigns i’ve seen, so now i love your blog from a content and design aesthetic.

  10. The redesign is wonderful! As an avid reader (but first time commentator), I would like to tell you what I think makes your redesign so successful is that you still “look like you”. Job well done! So many blogs/sites have been redesigning themselves to incorporate the newest, flashiest technology that the relaunce looks so different it’s like they forgot who they are. You definitely didn’t! I will also add that I agree with the others that I would like to still see a “travel” section.

  11. alana says...

looks great! unfortunately, the images don’t show up on my rss reader (theoldreader.com). i always click through to read entire posts, but having the lead image visible on theoldreader’s feed is nice. i tend to skip over posts that don’t contain an image, because they simply fail to grab my attention.

    • Paloma says...

Same here. I use feedly and now I can only see the title and a tiny bit of text, no pictures :/

    • Lauren M says...

It doesn’t work in feedly for me either…no pictures and it won’t load in the “preview” tab which used to work. :(

    • I use The Old Reader too and I’m not seeing any posts in my feed past the re-design. I even tried re-subscribing with the new site! Any tips?

  12. Jennyg says...

Love the new look!!! I’m along time reader and reference your blog weekly. Keep up the awesomeness!!!

  13. Grace says...

Nice and fresh, but why did you guys omit the travel section?

    • Joanna Goddard says...

thanks for your note, grace! we took it out because we added beauty, but so many readers have asked about it that i think we’re going to add it back in! for now, you can find all the travel posts here:

      http://cupofjo.com/category/design/travel-fantasies/

thank you so much for your feedback!
      xoxo joanna

  14. Gracie says...

My sister told me about your blog a few years ago and I’ve read along since. Your space on the web is one of my favorites. Your content is thoughtful and something women of all ages can relate to. Reading your blog is like chatting with an old girlfriend and often evokes laughter, tears and a fuller heart. The redesign is fresh and easy to navigate. Bravo! Thank you for your honesty and for giving your windows a small window into your life.

    • Joanna Goddard says...

thank you so much for your sweet note, it made my day:)

  15. Carrie Snow says...

I love the redesign! It looks amazing!

  16. Shara Cochrane says...

Well done! I truly love reading your blog.
Just curious what happened to the Travel section ??

  17. Love the new look, great job Jo!

  18. Catherine says...

Hello Cup of Jo ! Huge fan of your blog and this new layout is pure pleasure ! Well done :o)

  19. congratulations on getting cupofjoe.com and on the new site design. it’s spectacular. the new logo treatment is brilliant!

  20. Carter says...

Joanna, I’ve never commented before but have been a devoted reader for years. Now that there is a new fabulous layout I thought why not send praise since I’ve been such a fan for so long! Cup of Jo is the perfect balance of being fun, informative, and most importantly to me as a wife and mother of young kids, relatable. I feel like a lot of blogs that i read have started to lose direction or the posts have become to “staged” or self-obsessed, but you have managed to grow in new and interesting ways. Thank you for creating a wonderful daily read!

    • Kerry says...

I completely agree! My fave site of all time

    • Joanna Goddard says...

this means so much to me! thank you so much. xoxo

  21. Becka says...

Too funny, since I discovered you about a year ago, I have spent way too many days going to cupofjo.com and then having to redirect. Now it seems all is as it should be. The site looks gorgeous, congratulations!

  22. Eleanor says...

Great new About section! I love the addition of the Olive Kitteridge quote. It’s nice to see a little bit more about Caroline and Lexi – such a fascinating crew. Xoxo to you ladies

  23. Joanna, the redesign is splendid — fresh, smart, open-feeling … very you! xxo

  24. S says...

I love the new design but one thing that would make navigation easier is “next post” and “previous post” buttons unless I’m missing something. Right now, I have to navigate back to the home page before I can open another post.

    • Claire says...

I agree completely with this comment! It makes a huge difference for me, as I tend to pop in every week or two and catch up on posts.

It does look really nice, and I’m excited that you can respond directly to a comment now!

  25. Mirella says...

The site looks beautiful! Love it

  26. Joanna it’s FANTASTIC, congratulations! I love it!

  27. ANGELINE NG says...

Your redesign is fresh and clean, love it! I always like to check your posts as they are always so ‘close and easy’ if you get what I mean, like the design of the blog. Keep it continue :) Love to read more and see more.

  28. Sybil says...

I love the new look. Very clean. I also love Caroline’s leather jacket. Who makes it and where can I get one?!

  29. Ana Sofia Ruiz says...

I love reading your blog and now that I recently became a mother to a beautiful girl enjoy it more, specially the motherhood posts. Somehow reading your blog makes me feel as if you are a beloved friend who I visit often, and being a new mom leaves little room for a social life. Congrats on the new design, it looks great and I look forward to reading more posts! Hugs from Costa Rica!

  30. Mary says...

Love it! So fresh and creative!

  31. Emily says...

Congrats!! and thank you! Love the design and it looks amazing on my iPhone. You all must have worked so hard. Such a surprise and a treat. I feel like I just got a new purse and it’s not even my birthday.

  32. Ashley says...

I work for a non-profit and we have been going through a website redesign. It is very meticulous and tedious work, but so worth it! You have done a tremendous job. Fresh, bright and white is so in!

  33. Sara Marshall says...

I love the fresh new look, but I will miss the old header with you holding your husband’s hand and a balloon in the other! It’s so New York whimsy to me! (I’m from a small town on the west coast).

  34. Love the new design! The visualization on the iPad is way better now! Love love love

  35. Katie says...

Looks great! Know this was a lot of work!

  36. Paula says...

Joanna, congrats!!! This looks absolutely fantastic! I’ve been reading you for a few years now (before you started dating Alex!) and am honestly happy for Cup of Jo’s growth. You’ve become a terrific blogger and communicator. I love your writing style and posts.

Sending you and the team all my best wishes from Buenos Aires :)

  37. Katie says...

    Hi Joanna,
I have always loved your blog and the new design is great, the only thing that bothers me is the fonts… maybe a bit more unified?

  38. Joanna Goddard says...

thank you so much for all these lovely comments. we are so thrilled that you guys like it. it took almost a year to do, if you can believe it!

  39. Nina says...

Love the update! Easier to comment from my phone! Please don’t do pop-ups!

  40. My gosh, it is GORGEOUS! All that work paid off – I love the O :)

I only have a tiny complaint and it’s not you, it’s my work – your gorgeous new site is now blocked at work :o so I’m reading all sorts of other things at lunch instead of your blog!

    • Joanna Goddard says...

      Hi Marcia,

If you type in “cupofjo.com” (versus getting redirected from the old site), it should fix things. Your browser just needs to learn that it’s a good site, and not spam. If that doesn’t help, email me! hello@cupofjo.com

      xoxo joanna

    • Lizzie Scott says...

Thank you so much for the fix Joanna! I was so bummed not to be able to access it at work after the redesign but now I can!

I’ve loved this blog for years :)

  41. Mary says...

I’m loving the new look. All your hard work has been worth it.
    It’s brilliant! Well done!

  42. This looks amazing! I love your blog and I’m always checking to see the new posts. (I love to read the style profiles and ‘motherhood in other countries’ posts). Thank you for this inspirational and creative energy in the world.

  43. This looks amazing. Your blog stays up as a tab on my computer and I’m always checking it. I love it. I especially like the style profiles from your collaborators and the motherhood experiences of your friends who live in other countries!
This is great work! You should be proud.

  44. Mary says...

I’m loving the new design. All your planning and hard work has been worth it. It’s brilliant. Well done!

  45. Nicole says...

Love the new look! It looks so clean and modern.

  46. Valentina says...

    I love the new design!

  47. Ashlyn says...

Hey! Love the redesign – it looks so fresh and modern and exactly like what you were going for! Just wanted to point out that when using Chrome, the “read more” links don’t show up and I can only see the rest of the post by clicking on the comments. As someone who works for a digital e-commerce site, we’re always checking for bugs, so I hope you find this helpful. Good luck!
Also, (seeing this now as I try to post my comment) the button to enter my comment, shows up as a blank white box with a red outline. I’m sure it’s supposed to have words… ?

    • Joanna Goddard says...

thank you!! going to check this out!

  48. Laura Lella says...

Love it!! Nice work! Also good job on linking old posts on blogpost to this site… I got a lot of anxiety at the thought of maybe losing the posts I had bookmarked!! I just re-favorited them all. Yay!

  49. Chelsea says...

    It’s wonderful, bravo to all.

  50. It. Looks. Great! So clean and friendly to the eye. We went through a huge redesign (logo, website, the works) at the organization I work at a few years ago and I know how all consuming it can be. Hope you’re enjoying it and taking it all in. Congrats!!

  51. I love the new layout, so pretty!
Unfortunately, it does not work with my RSS reader. Sad :(

    • Joanna Goddard says...

it should work! i’ll check with our programmer. maybe try to resubscribe? so sorry for the hassle!

    • Thank you for your reply Joanna! I’ve been reading for years! I resubscribed with no luck. I will try again in afew days. I look forward to new content as always!

  52. claudia098 says...

    Congrats!!!!!!

  53. KimJ says...

I love the new design! And now I can post comments. For some reason my posts were never posted on the old site.

  54. Flannery says...

Love the new look but am quite bummed because my work blocks the new website. The old URL and none of my other blogs are blocked. The reason for the blocked site states “Category: parked.” I’m not sure what that means but I’m terribly sad as I like catching up on blogs during my lunch hour!

  55. Love the redesign. It’s so fresh and relaxing to look at lol. Can’t wait to see what else you bring here. Long time reader :)

  56. Congratulations Joanna! I’ve been a reader for years—so happy for you.

  57. adore it. am a graphic designer and illustrator & so ‘never happy’ as my mom would say, but i love the masthead, its simplicity & playfulness… love that you can change what’s peeking through so you don’t get bored. and love the layout overall. boring comment probably for you but it’s lovely & fresh :)

    • Joanna Goddard says...

      that means so much!

  58. Bethanne says...

    So fresh! well done teamgoddard:)

  59. mimi says...

    hi joanna,

i’m a long time reader, but have never commented so far. the new design looks great! one thing i’m missing though (or just can’t find) is to switch to the post right before or after the current one.
thanks for the blog and the interesting posts!

    • Joanna Goddard says...

oh that’s a good point!! will try to add that in.

  60. lydie says...

Très bien ! j’adore, even if it’s not in French ;-)
    Beau travail !!!

  61. aleria says...

Loving it! You’re my favorite blogger Joanna, keep doing what you do! <3

  62. Kimberly says...

It could not be more perfect! I love it so much!

  63. The website looks great, Joanna. Keep up the great work!

  64. Annie says...

    Hi Joanna!
Your site looks wonderful, a little bit of the old and a little bit of new. Always thrilled to see your continued successes.
I’ve been following you for three years, every day.
    Warmest wishes,
    Annie

  65. Jan says...

    Excited for your next step!

  66. Suzanne says...

Forget the redesign…. I’m just going bananas that there’s going to be another motherhood around the world!!!!!! I LOVE that series!!!!! Can’t wait !!

  67. Jess says...

You should be very proud of yourself. You have evolved your business with such style and grace. Bravo to you!

  68. Love it – great job!

  69. Oh congrats! I think everyone has been waiting for this for a long time :) I know it was probably stressful to go through, but so totally worth it!

  70. Yay how exciting! Congrats Joanna! The redesign looks wonderful, and it is really cool to see how Cup of Jo is growing and evolving. You are always an inspiration. xoxo

  71. gorgeous!! Congrats

  72. Hi Joanna! The hole in the header that changes is ingenious! The website is so beautiful and modern. The design is very pretty, too, but what is more important to me is to keep reading your posts, any format is fine with me! I love your writing above all!!!

    Alina
    http://www.eclecticalu.blogspot.com

  73. Sarah says...

    Beautiful job!

  74. Natasha says...

Love the new design but am I the only one who misses the balloon :-( lol

  75. This is the happiest! And it’s perfect! Joanna, thanks (to you and Caroline) for showing up again and again. I’m so grateful for your blog—it’s my favorite.

  76. Isabel Vanessa says...

    Hej Joanna

I usually get your posts on my Reader – i’m using Feedly.
But this post made me curious to actually visit the page, and I must tell you, I loooove the re-design! (it was pretty cool before as well, but it looks fresher and cleaner)
It makes me feel like visiting the website, itself, instead of just reading your posts on Feedly! :D
Anyway, thank you for all the good work and amazing content!

    Hugs from Denmark
    Vanessa

  77. Meg says...

    I’m loving the new layout!

  78. Emily says...

    Love the new look!

  79. Victoria Lee says...

Just Gorgeous Joanna! Great job Cup of Jo Team! You are such a daily inspiration, i love to see the blog evolving!! All the best to you and your team!

  80. Lovely update Jo! And your content rocks :) xx

  81. gayathri says...

love the new look, I am a faithful reader of yours from Sri Lanka :) xo

  82. Katrina says...

New design looks great! And looking forward to the newsletter – I check back several times a week at the moment so will be handy to have everything in my inbox. I have been meaning to comment for a while – I’ve been following your blog for a few months and find it so inspiring – love your honesty and openness x
    (from australia)

  83. LOVE IT!!! Especially how the “O” changes!

  84. Leslie says...

I’m so glad you finally updated the comment format! It’s much easier to see your responses now.

  85. Love the new design, congratulations Joanna!
I did prefer the old header though, and that balloon shot was so special, it was nice to see up there…

  86. Love the new design and love your blog!!

    Kisses from Portugal!!

    Sofia Ferreira

  87. Ellie says...

Love the new layout, and love that the archives are easier to navigate. My only suggestion is this: when I go to a topic (say ‘Motherhood’) and then click ‘load more’ to see older stories, I’m not able to come back to the most recently loaded set of tiles. If I click on a story in a ‘load more’ section, then hit ‘back’ after reading it, I’m taken back to the first set of tiles you see on the topic landing page. I love looking back through the archives as things become more relevant to me, it would be super-helpful not to have to click ‘load more’ to get back to where I was in my browsing. My tuppence! I do love the new design though!

    • Joanna Goddard says...

yes! such a good catch. thank you!!

  88. Ceridwen says...

I love the new look so much! Congratulations! I can’t tell you what a joy it is to read Cup of Jo. It is my part of my routine to relax after a busy day. Well done to the team and thanks for building such a positive community.

  89. Carmen says...

So much love for the redesign! It is beautiful and simple and next level!

  90. Ashley says...

Oh I just died of cuteness! Is that a tiny Toby peeking at us through the “o” on the motherhood section? I love the new layout – I especially love how it has made it easier to find older content again. I could spend hours flicking through all over again. Congrats!

  91. Congratulations!

  92. Congrats for the new look. Its so fresh and modern
Love the way the image in the O changes with the categories and the new font

  93. Jenny says...

    Hello,
I really feel that there is one massive missing piece, something that almost everyone that reads this site needs – the CAREERS section. The advice for making changes in your life – There are so many aspects of our jobs irregardless of industry that advice is great apprecatated on. Remembering that women are more likely to punish themselves and underestimate their performance vs males.

I struggled to find (infact I still havent been able to) the how to follow up an email to a busy person.

    Thanks,

    Jenny

  94. Lisa says...

I was also worried it would turn out to one of those annoying websites instead of being in a traditional “blog” format, I’m SO HAPPY you kept the layout close to as it was! It looks fresh and clean, but still familiar and easy to read and navigate. Good job! Im looking forward to the Motherhood around the world series, even if I’m not a mother yet, they are SO interesting!

  95. Athene says...

Congratulations! The new site looks AMAZING.

  96. Gabriella says...

Firstly, that redesign is spectacular! I am always fascinated when blogs have an authentic “this is me/us” feel and don’t just go with whatever is popular at the moment! Well done to you and the whole team working on this!!

Also, can I just say how much I LOVE that you added a reply button in the comment section? And that your replies are highlighted! I often used to scroll through all the comments to see whether you had replied to a specific comment above. Now everything is so much easier and I really think that the communication amongst readers will increase!

    Once again – well done!!

  97. Caroline from Norway says...

Great new, light and airy design! I`ve been following your blog for years and really enjoy checking in for updates :)

  98. Hello from Budapest! I’m glad that the Travel section is coming back by popular demand :-) I also agree with other readers that the header does appear a tad bit pixelated (I work on a large mac desktop) in contrast to the other fonts, which are super crisp and clear. It would be nice to keep the whimsical “O” (which is so cute btw!) but work with fonts for the rest of the header lettering! As for the new color scheme – I am loving the RED!! I find it to be more striking and old school, just like Jo’s classic red converse shoes. Congrats all around!!!

  99. Bea says...

I never leave a comment but this revamping looks great. To be honest, I am more interested in the content – I adore your articles, by the way – than in the look, but I admit it eases the reading (excuse my English, I am French). Your blog is so full of various information, so nice to read, it is one of my favourites and I come here everyday. Take care and carry on. XXX

  100. Lovely design. Leeznijis.blogspot.com

  101. It looks absolutely gorgeous! I had been wondering when you would do a re-design. ;)

  102. I love the new layout Joanna! It’s very professional and clean but still very much “you”. I loved that you showed the process of how the layout changed, so much more goes into it than I knew and it makes me appreciate it even more. I’m so happy to have seen your blog grow so much since I first discovered it in 2010 after you mentioned it in a Glamour article, gosh how the time flies! :)

  103. Iris says...

The redesign is absolutely fantastic! Well done to all involved, and congratulations on finally purchasing the domain. Can’t wait to get reacquainted with one of the best blogs all over again :)

  104. Anon says...

Lovely design! Very fresh, practical and warm (fresh and warm? Yes! You’ve made it possible!). The only thing that bothered me, is despite how lovely that pictureis, I think on the About “you” section, you should put a photo of you and Toby AND Anton… And I haven’t yet found the “research” button which has helped me zillions of times the last years! Good work! ; )

  105. Love it, love it, love it!!! Congratulations!!!
PS love how you can do team work so wonderfully, amazing skill!!!

  106. Dee says...

Love the redesign! Was so nervous you would go the grid path, like other blogs (I don’t know who gives them the idea that it’s better!), and was so relieved it’s still the clean drop-down design :)

  107. Love the new design! I’m glad you and your team kept the feel of the site. I recently migrated my blog to another platform and it’s one of the more difficult tech things I’ve done. And congrats on finally nabbing the URL! Should make life easier for you :)
    xx Allison

  108. Hurray! I don’t have to sign in anymore! I can’t tell you how annoying (sorry to say) it was to want to blurt something out after reading over here and then my daughter’s school bus would pull up before I could sign in. Great new look! Fresh, clean, pretty and user-friendly. Well done, madame.

  109. Emma says...

It looks so great and so fresh. I’m excited for you and looking forward to reading all of the new content.

  110. Amanda says...

I totally love the redesign, and I am extremely picky. Nice work, everyone!!

  111. Love it! Honestly, you timed it perfectly because I wouldn’t even have said your old design was “outdated,” but this new one feels so clean and fresh, like updating a beloved wardrobe for a new season. Thanks for all your work–those agonizing little decisions paid off :)

  112. Joanna Goddard says...

these comments have made our day x a million. thank you so, so much for all the feedback!

  113. Alexis says...

    Love it, Joanna!

  114. Leslie says...

    The redesign is beautiful!!

  115. Janice says...

Hi Joanna! Nice job! I love how the archives are organized. I’m sure I could spend way too much time in there reading old favorites! Looking forward to the Motherhood Series and the newsletter. Congrats!

  116. Giovanna Suárez says...

I’m thrilled about the cujofjo-dot-com, I always used to write that in the web browser and then it will take me to google and to your actual direction but now I can finally do it! SO EXITING.
I love Love LOVE the new design of the website, so nice and modern yet inviting.

  117. Lara says...

Love the redesign!! And love the ABOUT write up. You ARE authentic!!

  118. The new design fits your content so much better! It’s so clean and classic -it’s perfect for your brand. Kudos to your design team :)

  119. Erin says...

I like the new look and am super excited for Motherhood Around the World.

  120. Lucy says...

Looks amazing Jo, congrats on being such a consistently warm & lovely blog.0 (and an amazing redesign!)

  121. Johanna says...

Congratulations! Looks really fantastic. Love the O.

  122. Anna V says...

I really like you redesign! After a few years of following and discovering lots of other great blogs, your’s is still my all-time favorite! I love your content and love that I feel like we could also be friends in non-virtual life! : )

if you type in cupofjo.com (versus being redirected from the old URL), it should work. your browser just needs to learn that it’s a real site, not spam. (you might need to clear your cache, too.)

I love the “Motherhood from Around the World” series. It is so interesting and I hope you include lots and lots of women. My young mothering years are coming to a close as my child graduates this month and I have to say being a mom is the most wonderful experience. I also enjoy the rest of your blog. Thank you for sharing so many things.

Love the new design, as well as the improvement in functionality and exposure of past posts. However, some of the word spacing of the Bodoni headlines, including A Cup of Jo, needs tweaking!

  132. Alice says...

It’s beautiful. It looks inspired by the previous design, but moving on to fresher, crisper, pastures. And the wee tweaks are magical. Well done!

I love the new look! We were actually at The Ace hotel in Pam Prings the same time you were last December, and I was too shy/worried about bugging you to say hi and gush then, so I’ll do it now :) I look forward to your blog every day, and can’t wait to see what the changes will bring! I’m already excited about a new Motherhood Around the World. Those are so fascinating!

  134. The redesign is stunning! I love it and can’t wait to experience more parts of it. I am a longtime reader of A Cup of Jo and continue to delight in posts, features, and the lovely ladies behind it all. XO

Lovely redesign! I’m a longtime reader and I just love your blog. I’m originally from Canada but live in Darwin, Australia with my Aussie hubby. I’m a new mommy too and would love to contribute to your Motherhood Around the World Series if you think readers would be interested in reading about motherhood in the tropics. Can’t wait for what you’ve got planned for cupofjo this year. Exciting times ahead! Regards, Jess xo

  145. Oh man, this is awesome! You’ve done such a great job! Congratulations! I wish I could work with you. Doing anything. A pity I’m from ‘down under’. Let me know if you ever need anything from Sydney, Australia ;)

    • You and me both, Melanie! I’m from Australia, too – maybe we should team up and provide Aussie content for A Cup of Jo! Joanna, the redesign is just BEAUTIFUL. Congratulations!
