Pretty Crib Sheets

Pretty Crib Sheets

Crib sheets. What is it about them that we love so weirdly much? They’re so small but can make an entire room look inviting. And they help bedtime feel cozy for little ones. Here are 12 of our favorite picks…

A few other sweet ones: Target, Unison and Aden & Anais (in the nicest muslin).

Thoughts? Which do you like? Any other recommendations?

P.S. What to register for a new baby.

Have a look at Petit Pehr for lovely crib sheets and quilts. I give them as gifts and my grandson has slept peacefully on Petit Pehr since he was born. Lovely designs – whimsical and practical.

    • Joanna Goddard says...

oh, wow, they’re so beautiful! i know about petit pehr’s lovely storage bins, but hadn’t realized they do sheets, too. thank you!

    • Elizabeth R. says...

Another vote for Iviebaby. The owner/creator, Elizabeth Ivie, is just the greatest, most dedicated person and her products are amazing.

I actually just bought the caravan sheet for my newest addition! We are going to be surprised by the sex, so I thought it was a great gender neutral option! My first two kids we didn’t have a house yet and shared rooms with both babies, so the crib sheet always felt like a good way to personalize “their space.”

  3. Jessica says...

I bought organic cotton fabric and made my own crib sheets. They are super cute!

I want those adorable wooden toys (for the kids of course!)

  5. I love the Hilltops Sheet Set! It reminds me of the danish design brand Cam Cam. It is 100 % organic and very beautiful. I´ve just arranged my babycrib/corner :-)

Just a bit a proud mama moment…that’s my baby girl in the pic for the Boheme sheets for Dwell Studio. It was a random opportunity and they picked her for the shoot. LOVE most of the whole collection. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to keep anything. :)

I obsessed about crib sheets when I was pregnant. I got a couple off of Etsy and they are adorable. Too bad our little guy hates his crib and has never actually slept there.

  8. Andrea Alfonso says...

My little guy has the alphanumeric sheets from Land of Nod & they are incredibly soft! Big fan :)

Any recs for mini crib sheets? I am finding the options so limited!!

    • Kimberly says...

      Etsy!

  10. Leslie says...

I love the soft Aden & Anais sheets, and I also have a couple in polka dots from Land of Nod. They come out of the wash beautifully smooth and the colors haven’t faded.

  11. What a beautiful collection of crib sheets, I totally agree there is nothing more lovely! I am going to have to stop reading this blog ( I’m addicted, it’s my total favourite ) soon, you’re costing me a fortune as I love everything in sight! ha ha!

  12. juliek says...

Had the worst luck with Aden & Anais sheets. Pilled immediately. Hope I got a bad batch… but two of three got funky right away. Have had great luck with Land of Nod however.

  13. Emily says...

I’m so excited that you picked one that we have – the yellow dots from Land of Nod! We also have their blue and gray whales, so darn cute!

  14. Of those, the whales and alphabet are my favorite! In super thankful for my crafty mother-in-law because she made the sheets for our nursery. I don’t know what inwiuld have done without her because I had a hard time finding sheets I liked otherwise.

  15. Ashley says...

And why can’t twin sheet sets come in such cute patterns along with a great price??!!! They are only in the crib so long…. :/

  16. Kimberly says...

Thank you for posting pictures of cribs free of all the crib bumpers and frills that may look pretty but are very unsafe.
These all look like lovely options.

  17. Jenny says...

I absolutely love my daughter’s Aden & Anais. I have two sets, which have lasted over 3 and a half years. The cutest understated prints, and so soft on her skin.

The link for the 1st sheets, Caravan, doesn’t seem to be working. Can you tell me the brand?

    • Stella Blackmon says...

Hi Chelsea! We just updated the link. Thank you!

Not quite as precious, but amazingly convenient for middle-of-the-night sheet changes: http://quickzipsheet.com

    Life changing!

  20. Rebecca says...

Kickee pants just started making crib sheets. If you’ve ever bought anything of theirs, you know that their bamboo rayon is the softest thing ever!

  21. Melania says...

They don’t come in pretty patterns, but we went with the zip top crib sheet and loved the convenience. So easy to change!

  22. Erin Cochran says...

Ohh I love the wallpaper in the photo! I wish I knew where it was from. It would look perfect in our second child’s room!

  23. Cynthia says...

The prints are adorable, but when my oldest was born 33 years ago, I didn’t really care as long as I had sheets for the crib, as I received crib sheets as baby shower and baby gifts, and I didn’t really have a nursery theme, because I decorated so the room would grow with my first daughter, and then my second daughter. I am of the practical sort, and I feel like a lot of these fancy nurseries are really for the parents.

  24. Kellyn says...

If you can sew these are REALLY, REALLY easy to make! Then the prints are limitless…(though I make them from old sheets and then they’re crazy affordable). No affiliation – but this woman does great tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RkD7sMiLFA

  25. Jo says...

Honeyami (www.honeyami.com) has beautiful organic kids bedding that is luxe yet reasonably priced. Patterns are super cute!

  26. I don’t have children, but have lots of littles in my life. Here in Houston there is a store called Biscuit Home that have great crib sheets and adult sheet sets too. Plus, they are made in the USA!

  27. Jillian Greenb says...

Couldn’t come at a better time – planned to work on my baby registry tonight! xoxo

  28. Meg says...

Love these! Just ordered the Maritime ones for my twin boys’ nautical-inspired nursery. Stripes are always a go-to classic, too…

  29. I HIGHLY recommend Aden & Anais! I have two daughters under 2 and they live in Aden & Anais swaddles, sleeping bags, sheets and washcloths. I absolutely love them, so soft and the patterns are adorable. I am still using the same blankets and swaddles with my second daughter that I used and washed a million times with my first! Wonderful products – I always give them as baby shower gifts!

We have the Boheme sheet! My aunt bought one on her own and made a GORGEOUS quilt out of it. I wish I could share a picture of it. It was my favorite baby gift.

I love the DwellStudio sheets in particular because they are feminine without being “girly” and dopey.

  31. Tania Carrier says...

    The wallpaper!

    • Brianna says...

That was my first thought, too, mainly because I have no use for crib sheets (besides wondering adult sized sheets don’t come in cool patterns).

  32. Megan says...

Love these. (We just bought big boy bed sheets from Land of Nod, and the baby has some of their changing pad covers.) But really love the photo of teeny tiny Toby that pops up in the right-hand column. Oh, time, how it passes!

  33. PY says...

Bed Toppings! The best Australian superior cotton crib sheets (except we call it a cot not a crib!). They’re made by an artist/copywriter – so comfy and quirky. http://www.bedtoppings.com.au

  34. Clara says...

We have a few sweet prints for crib sheets, but I find myself always reaching for the soft, plain white sheet – like in your top photo. It just seems so calm and sleep-inducing.

  35. Lindsay says...

I love ‘little auggie’. The sheets from target were not very soft. I’m going to try Serena and lily’s next.

  36. These are such adorable finds! I really love the whale ones (I have a thing for whales). No baby (yet) but when the time comes I will definitely be referencing this and your registry post.
